Rockford Scanner™: 3 Different Accidents, 1 Fatal, Another Involved A Motorcycle, Etc…





A couple of accidents this afternoon.  One of them is a fatal.

#  A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Central and Kilburn.  Police confirmed the pedestrian has passed away.  The vehicle that hit the pedestrian stayed on the scene.  The road is blocked off, and will be for several hours while police do the investigation and reconstruction of the scene. So please avoid the area for awhile.

# E state st between Alpine and Fairview there was a motorcycle accident. Reports of a vehicle pulling out of Popeyes, when the motorcycle crashed into it. The vehicle stayed on scene, but the driver did not exit the vehicle. Injuries were being reported.  Officials said the injuries appeared to be non life threatening.

# Two vehicles collided near West and Island in Rockford.  Injuries were being reported.  Reports of non life threatening injuries.

The cause of the accidents are all under investigation.

Rockford Scanner™: Victim Stabbed in Rockford, Possibly During A Robbery.




Sources are reporting a stabbing victim in Rockford. It happened around 7:15 pm tonight. 

There is one person that has been stabbed at the pavilion inside the Fairgrounds Park on Kilburn, just feet from the RPD district 1 HQ. 

The victim has been stabbed in the leg. We have been told the stabbing happened during a robbery, but not confirmed.

Rockford Scanner™: Very Serious Accident, Possibly Fatal. Roads Closed Down




UPDATE:


Officials have confirmed this is a double fatal accident.

Several sources are reporting a very serious accident, possibly fatal but not yet confirmed.  It happened near Trask Bridge near Eddie road. There is a  vehicle in the ditch and a Jeep was on fire.

We have been told there are injuries, possibly fatal. But again officials have yet to confirm this.   The roads are blocked off, so you want to avoid the area.

A truck was headed eastbound on Trask Bridge Rd. veered into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a Jeep.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Runs Off With A Gun, Possibly An Officers Gun




 

Sources are reporting a scene on the West side. 

Reports of a suspect that ran off with a gun, possibly an officers gun. A silver revolver. 

Several officers from several jurisdictions are on scene including the state police. 

Several officers are near Halsted, Rockton, Kilburn, Searles, Glenwood, N Horseman, etc… a very large perimeter.

Sources said black sweat shirt and grey pants the suspect is wearing. 

Update: Someone saw the alleged suspect running behind some house near Sablewood.  We were told it was a silver revolver the suspect has. Initial reports are saying it is a possible officers gun. But some are saying the local police do not carry revolvers. Others said some officers still do carry them as a backup.  So unknown, all we know is there is an armed suspect running through the neighborhood near here.  We have been told there were 3 shots fired, but again police are encrypted and have not confirmed this or released any information on the incident.

RPD has yet to confirm this or release any info. on the incident or suspects. 


Sources  ” They are juveniles , 3 teenage boys threatened to shoot some kids. So I called the cops. 2 in custody. 1 still  on the loose.There was 3 juvenile boys all 3 of them had guns”








 

Rockford Scanner™: Victim Robbed & Ran Over By A Vehicle, Suspect Gets Away




We sat on this story and waited for RPD and the local news to release information. Neither has, so we are posting this.

Sources are reporting a robbery/hit & run. 

Sources are reporting a man was robbed and ran over by a vehicle. 

It happened earlier today near Kilburn and Auburn. 

Victim sustained injuries and was transported to a local ER. 

Suspect is a black male, approx. 30 years old, dreads.
Last seen in a Marroon vehicle. 

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Bad Accident in Rockford, Traffic Investigator Investigating




Around midnight there was a bad accident in Rockford.

It happened 1 block East of Auburn and Kilburn.

Major damage to one of the vehicles involved.

Injuries were being reported. Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

A traffic investigator, was investigating the scene.

Reports of an accident that involves a SUV and a car, near Kilburn and Central ave in Rockford around 3:30 pm today.

Injuries were being reported. it is not yet known on the severity of the injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Laying in The Roadway Bleeding, In Rockford




Sources are reporting a scene near the 700 block of Whitman.

A man was bleeding from the head and laying in the roadway on Whitman and not moving. Sources said the man was involved in an altercation just prior. Injuries are believed to be non life threatening.

Rollover Accident With Extrication Needed

It happened around 6:45 pm in the 700 block of Kilburn ave.

A vehicle has rolled over near this location.

Extrication is needed.

The vehicle is a taxi cab and it is on its roof.

Injuries were being reported. Unknown on the severity of the injuries at this time. Multiple injuries are being reported. At least 2 ambulances have been dispatched.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
