Sources are reporting several people have been evacuated near Old Golf rd in loves Park, due to a gas leak in the area.

It happened around 11 am in the 4100 block of Old Golf rd in Loves Park.

Initial reports are saying a construction company has hit a main gas line.

No injuries were being reported.

It happened around 2 pm today in the 1000 block of Ridge. 

Reports of a possible gas leak near this location. 

Emergency personnel are on scene investigating.

We have gotten reports of some areas of the Rock Valley College being evacuated due to a gas leak near the theater.

Building E, BST, F, G, have all been evacuated due to the gas leak. 

The cause of the gas leak is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a scene on the Eastside.

It happened near Rote rd.   Several emergency personnel have the area blocked off. They are diverting traffic near Rote rd and Lyford.

We been told it might be a large gas line that was compromised.

Unknown on evacuations.  But they are diverting traffic in the area.

Several sources are reporting a large evacuation in Belvidere.

Reports of a truck driver who hit a gas line near the shopping center on State st in Belvidere.

Emergency personnel have evacuated the area.
The shopping center near State and Fairgrounds.

No reports of injuries that we have heard.

Sources were reporting a scene at a Machesney Park business complex.

It happened around 4 pm near West ln.

Reports of a gas leak at Ross, on West ln.

The business was evacuated. No injuries were reported.

Sources are reporting several emergency personnel at a scene in Loves Park just after 2 pm today.

It happened in the 500 block  of Trent ln. That is near the area of Orth rd.

We confirmed there is a gas leak near this location.

Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Crashes Into a House & Causes a Major Gas Leak, Residents Evacuated



Around 930 this morning a vehicle crashed into a house in the 5600 block of S. Central Rd. in Ogle County.

 The accident caused a major gas leak and officials had evacuated the area.

 Officials told residents to avoid the areas of Center road and Flagg

As of 11 AM they were still not able to get the leak under control and opened up the local fire station for the residents that were evacuated.

Just before 1 PM they were able to get the situation under control and the residents were able to go back to their houses.


Rockford Scanner™: Carbon Monoxide Investigation in Rockford

UPDATE:  No medical needed anymore.  Source of the problem appears to be near or from the drier.

Just before 11 pm, there was a call for a Carbon Monoxide investigation in the 3100 block of Prial Ave with one person reporting possible symptoms.  Emergency personnel are en route. Still developing.
