Rockford Scanner™: Incident On A Flight in Rockford

Sources are reporting an incident that happened on a flight to Rockford last night. The flight was from Mesa to Rockford, on the Allegiant flight #563.

Sources said several police officers had the plane passengers detained and would not let anyone off the plane.

“The Rockford PD was waiting to board the plane. We, the passengers were kept on the plane for quite awhile not able to deplane while the officers questioned other passengers.
We were not given any information, just asked to remain in our seats while someone was escorted from the flight.” a source told us.

We have tried to get information from the airport and RPD, both declined comment.

According to the RPD call log, there was a “medical assist” but it is unknown if it was related to this incident.

Sources are reporting a battery/kidnapping in Rockton this morning.

We sat on this story to see if police would release information on it.

Police have yet to release any information on it, so we are posting it.

It happened just before 7 am in Rockton, near Blackhawk and Main.

Sources said a suspect brutally beat and kidnapped a victim in Rockton.  Unknown on the victims status at the time of writing this.

Suspect was last seen near the library in Rockton.  Police located the suspect and the suspect fled from police. Police chased the suspect.

Sources said the police were chasing the suspect on Rt 2 southbound, around 90 MPH. But were able to capture him on RT 2 near Blackhawk.  (See photos) The police broke out the windows of the vehicle and detained the suspect in the middle of RT 2.

This brings up the next topic:
Local police said they were going to be transparent, when encrypting. We feel the police should have at least released some kind of information on this very DANGEROUS incident. But they have yet to do so…

How transparent do you think the local police have become since encrypting?

Update: Police have confirmed the kidnapping call but have downplayed it and said it was a “Simple Kidnapping”  and that one person was in custody.  No other information was released.

But several officers were in the area searching for someone.

So it is not yet known exactly what happened.

He was jumped by two black men with hoodies on ans armed with  a gun

They robbed him. The guy said please don’t shoot me just take the money , which was about $80

Apparently after he had paid his bills that he had saved for his groceries

Luckily he had his phone in his pocket and they didn’t check that!!

He said he called the police and they said there’s nothing they could do about it but take a report!

Andrea Arteaga: I saw the cops drive by and went and sat on my porch. A minimum of four police cars were within my view. After about 10 minutes on my porch three officers with a k-9 started up and down my street. Once they were in my front yard they asked If I had seen a black male in a hoodie running around. I said no and they just kept searching onto the next block. From what I could tell they never caught anyone.
