Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Victim During A Robbery in Rockford




On 03/27/19 at about 1256 AM Rockford Police responded to 1600 Chestnut Street in reference to shots fired. Officers located a scene in the 300 block of Marvin Street along with a juvenile male.

A home in the 1600 block of Chestnut Street had been struck by gunfire. The male had been involved in an altercation and reported he was robbed of USC.

The subject was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. While investigating this incident, Officers located a vehicle that crashed into a residence in the 1400 block of Elm Street along with a twenty year old male who sustained non-life threatening gun-shot wounds.

The male was shot in the 300 block of Marvin Street. The vehicle crashed into the residence while attempting to flee the area.

The shooting victim was treated at a local hospital. This is an active and ongoing investigation.

No further details are available at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: EmergencyPersonnel Working 2 Different Accident Scenes, Both With Injuries




 

Around 5 pm tonight, emergency personnel were responding to 2 different accident scenes.

The first one is in the 300 block of Elm st, across from the BMO Harris Center. Sounds like it is in or near the parking area on Elm, across from the BMO. A Black minivan and a Black Dodge Ram are involved. Reports of injuries and possible extrication is needed.
UPDATE: They have updated the possible location near Green and Church.

The other accident is near Broadway and Eastmooreland.  Injuries were being reported at this scene also. Unknown on the severity of the injuries. They have dispatched 2 ambulances to the scene.

Both these accident scenes are under investigation. Please avoid these areas.

Rockford Scanner™: 3 Confirmed Shooting Victims Near S Beloit/Beloit




UPDATE via our friends at Beloit Scanner: 3 confirmed shooting victims. 1 Has passed away.

One shooting victim shot in the head on Elm. (Fatal)
One victim shot in the leg on S Bluff
One shooting victim shot in the  stomach on Roosevelt.

Suspect vehicle is a dark-colored pickup truck, last seen northbound.

Two of the victims are ages 15 years old and a 25 year old, Unknown on the 3rd victim.


Update at 11:30 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019: we are currently investigating a triple shooting near the area of Elm Street and Roosevelt Avenue. One individual was located deceased at the scene. Two other individuals, a 15-year-old male and a 25-year-old male, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Mercy Hospital in Janesville.

It appears that the individuals knew each other and this does not appear to be a random act of violence. We expect to be on scene all night.

Original, 10:30 p.m. Monday, March 11: We are investigating a homicide in the area of Elm Street and Roosevelt Avenue that was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m. We are asking people to avoid the area while we continue to investigate. It’s anticipated that we will be on scene for several hours.

Sources are reporting multiple gunshots were heard in South Beloit last night around 9:30 PM. It happened in the area of South Bluff and Shirland ave.

We been told that there is possibly one shooting victim, but police have yet to release any information on this incident.

No suspect information at this time.

UPDATE: A woman was stabbed near W Elk in Freeport. A man has been taken into custody according to officials.  The victim is listed in serious condition


Stabbing and Auto Accident Near Freeport

Sources are reporting it happened in the area of 26 and Lincoln near Freeport.

Details are minimal right now.

We been told there is a stabbing victim and also an auto accident.

Several emergency personnel are en route.

Police have the area blocked off and diverting traffic.

Sources are reporting a possible burglary to A to Z Towing on Elm ave in Machesney Park around 1 am this morning.

Reports of the business was burglarized.

Unknown if it is related but neighbors said there was a dark colored truck with window stickers of a woman in the back window that were light colored, that was in the area acting suspiciously just prior to the burglary.

No other information at this time

Structure Fire in Beloit

Around 3:10 pm today the city of Beloit was asking for assistance to battle a structure fire in Beloit.

A MABAS  (Mutual Aid)  box 10 dash 11 to the box alarm, for a structure fire near 1018 Elm st in Beloit.

Several area fire departments are en route to assist with the fire.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested After Fleeing From Police And Crashes In Rockford



 

 

 

Around 1 am this morning, the Rockford Police, Winnebago County Sheriffs Office and the Illinois State police were involved in the search and capture of a suspect in Rockford. 

The suspect fled from a traffic stop.  The suspect then crashed/disabled the vehicle near Elm st on the West side. The suspect got out on foot and fled the scene.  

Police from all the jurisdictions setup a perimeter and a police K-9 was able to assist in capturing the alleged suspect. 

The alleged suspect was transported to a local hospital, for allegedly swallowing drugs. 

A to Z towing towed the vehicle from the scene. 

Note: Not yet known if this is related to any of the crime incidents that has happened in Rockford tonight.
