Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Police Doing Crowd Control




Rockford Police were keeping the streets safe and were doing crowd control near Green and Henrietta. 

When I arrived on scene the crowd was small to medium sized and were not disorderly. (They may have been before I arrived)

Three officers were on scene to make sure everyone left safely.  No injuries or arrests

Many citizens in the Machesney Park area are still experiencing flooding issues and are expressing their concerns and opinions on social media.

There is a social media page called Rock River Flooding, that several citizens have joined to keep informed and expressed their feelings on the Rock River Flooding Situation.

Many citizens on there are extremely fed up with the sheriff and the leaders for lying to the citizens that have been effected by the flooding, and still are. And have expressed their frustration with the sheriff and the leaderships.

Rockford Scanner™: Caught On Video, Local Police Clear out A Large Crowd At A Gas Station



 

 

 

Around 2 am numerous police officers from the Rockford Police and Winnebago County Sheriff, did some crowd control at a Rockford gas station. 

It happened at the Citgo on Auburn, near the Auburn Manor. 

A large crowd gathered in the parking lot just prior to the police showing up.  

Several police officers swarmed the parking lot and moved everyone along. Some people fled when officers arrived and some officers chased the suspects fleeing. 

No reports of injuries or arrests.

Serious Injury Traffic Crash

On Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:25 AM Rockford Police Officers responded to 11 Street and the East bound on-ramp to HWY 20 for a serious traffic crash involving a single motorcycle. Initial information indicated a 27 year old male driver lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a ditch.   The driver was then rushed to an area hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

The Rockford Police Crash Reconstruction Team was mobilized and is conducting an ongoing investigation. No further information to be released at this time.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Rockford Police Department at 815-966-2900.
