Sources are reporting a multiple vehicle accident on a local bridge.

Sources are reporting at least 4 vehicles have crashed on the Auburn st bridge.   We been told the local bridges are becoming slippery. It is not yet known if that played any role in this accident.

Injuries were being reported, unknown on the severity of the injuries.

The accident is blocking traffic, so you may want to avoid the Auburn st bridge for awhile.

Sources are reporting a possible body thrown into the local river this morning.

Sources are reporting they saw a person throw what appeared to be a dead body over the bridge at the Kishwaukee Forest Preserve.

Emergency personnel were called.

Update from a party that was involved:  The other driver was traveling the wrong way on Whitman Street bridge and hit me head on. I’ve been in the hospital since so I haven’t been able to see my car but I’m sure it’s totaled. Doctors say I have an orbital fracture in my face. Other than that it’s just whiplash to my neck and some bruising to my pelvis and lower back.


Sources are reporting a serious accident in Rockford.

Sources are reporting a head on collision near the Whitman st bridge.

Injuries were being reported, possible life threatening but not confirmed.

Sources said the accident was a head on collision.

Emergency personnel have the area blocked off, avoid the area.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.


The Rockford Police Department advises you to AVOID The Whitman Street Bridge (eastbound lanes) due to current traffic accident. The traffic accident on the Whitman Street Bridge will cause traffic backups and detours for the next several hours. Suggested alternate route is north bound onto N. Main Street from Whitman Street, slight right onto Harlem Blvd and east onto Auburn Street to cross east of the Rock River.

Sources are reporting another bad accident in Rockford.

This one happened in the 200 block  of N Madison, under the bridge.

Injuries were being reported. One person is unconscious.

Possible life threatening injuries via the source.

Extrication is needed to cut at least one person out of the vehicle.

The cause of the accident is under investigation

Around 4:40 PM today several emergency personnel were responding to a water rescue.

A person has reportedly jumped off the State Street bridge into the Rock River.

Several emergency personnel including the emergency boats and divers are en route.

Please avoid the area or expect delays. still developing

Rockford Scanner™: Several Emergency personnel Working A Scene At Martin park in Loves Park

Approx.  5 pm today several police officers from the Loves Park Police, Rockford Park District and also 2 ambulances from Metro were on scene at Martin Park in Loves Park.

That is the park along the Rock River, south of Riverside Bridge.

The emergency personnel were searching two individuals in a White vehicle that was parked along the playground area.

At the time of writing this, it was not yet known what happened due to the encryption.

As of right now, police labeled the call as “Information for police”

As soon as we know more information, we will update this.

Several sources are reporting an automobile accident on 20 in the eastbound lanes near the 11th St. bridge around 8 am this morning. Injuries were being reported but it is not yet known on the severity of the injuries. Traffic is backed up for a long ways so avoid the area or expect long traffic delays. The cause of the accident is under investigation

 

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Small Aircraft Crashes Into A Nearby Bridge, Pilot In Critical Condition



 

 

 

On 08/18/2018 at 9:31 am Janesville Police and Fire responded to an ultralight aircraft (single man aircraft with a motor, single propeller and parachute) crash at the Memorial Bridge.

The pilot was traveling from north to south and collided with the Memorial Bridge. The forty-eight year old pilot sustained non-life threatening, but critical injuries.

He was the only person injured and was transported to a local medical center by Janesville Fire for treatment.

The investigation of the accident is still on-going and will be done jointly between the Janesville Police Department and the Milwaukee Flights Standards Division of the Federal Aviation Administration.

Around 2 pm today emergency personnel were responding to a body in the Rock River. 

A body was approx. 20 feet from the shoreline in the area of Centerway st bridge in Janesville. 

The victim is an older male, approx. 65 years old or older. 

Autopsy is scheduled for tomm.  


 

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Sources Reporting Numerous Police Officers At A Scene, Possible Body Found



UPDATE: Middle aged woman has been found in the river. A family fishing nearby spotted the body and called police. The womans body has not been in the river to long and the Winnebago County Coroners office hopes to have the identity by this afternoon. Sources said it is possibly a reported missing woman.

Confirmed dead body.  Emergency personnel are recovering a dead body from the Rock River.  No other information at this time. 


Several sources reporting a scene on 20, between 11th st and S Main. 

Numerous police officers, crime scene unit, Winnebago County Coroner’s office, etc… are all on scene. 

We been told that it was a body found near the bridge.

They do have one lane of traffic blocked off in the area, so expect traffic delays. 

As you know, details are minimal due to the encryption.
