From the victim: “I’m home now. I have a concussion, scraped arm. I lost both my shoes. My right foot is banged up. Ripped toenails, broken toes and a sprained foot. He had knocked me over on my back .I was drugged from the back of my car to through the parking lot towards to road . I’m very grateful to be alive. I’m still in shock. It happened all so fast”


Update from RPD: 

On 11/10/18 around 8:50pm Rockford Police Officers responded to Walgreens in the 3300 block of N. Main St. for an attempted strong arm robbery. The victim, who was parked in the parking lot, was loading her groceries into the trunk of her vehicle when the suspect ran toward her and attempted to grab her purse from her shoulder causing the victim fall to the ground.  The suspect did not get any property from the victim.  The suspect fled the area in a small vehicle.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid 20’s.

Anyone with information concerning the incident is encouraged to contact the Rockford Police Department Officer-In-Charge (OIC) at 779-500-6498 or Crime Stoppers at 815- 963-STOP (7867).


Local police are encrypted and have yet to release information on these robberies.

But a source told us the suspects in this robbery are described as: Last seen in a white ford escort, male wearing an army green hoodie, passenger suspect is white male approx 35 years old, wearing a grey hoodie, tan jacket, last seen northbound


Another robbery in Rockford.

This one happened at the Walgreens on N Main.

Suspect physically battered/pushed the female victim to the ground during the robbery. The victim is injured and needs medical attention.

Suspect description is unknown, due to the encryption.

Suspect fled the scene on foot

Rockford Scanner™: Fatal Stabbing: Man Stabbed To Death Near Rockford/Loves Park

UPDATE From The Winnebago County Coroner:


Sources reporting the alleged suspect is a white male with a white beard. Police have yet to provide suspect information.


MURDER INVESTIGATION: On Sunday, October 28, 2018, shortly before 9:00 p.m., Rockford Police officers were called to a residence in the 3500 block of Fawnridge Drive in reference to a fight.

Upon arrival, officers located the resident, a 61-year-old male, suffering from stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. His name is not being released at this time.

Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation to the murder. No further details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Rockford Police Department at 815-966-2900

A suspect beat a victim with a crowbar. Sources are reporting the victim was severely beaten with the crowbar

It happened at an address on S Horace in Rockford.

RPD has yet to release information on this, but sources said the suspect is only described as a black male.

Around 5 am this morning, police were investigating a battery/armed robbery.

 

Sources reporting a victim was severely beaten during an armed robbery in Rockford.  It happened in the area of Jefferson and Church around 5 am.

No suspect information, due to the encryption, safe to assume the suspects fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a nearby E.R.

 

 

 







Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested After 2 Violent Crimes Against Female Employees

ARRESTED: A Rockford man faces charges related to two separate, violent robberies in the City of Rockford. On Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at approximately 7:00 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to Jasmine Pantry (2614 Kilburn Avenue) in reference to a robbery to the business where the clerk was beaten. The suspect fled with several items and cash. A 17-year-old male was originally identified as a possible suspect, but upon further investigation by detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit, it was determined the 17-year-old was not involved. Investigators were able to identify 20-year-old Joseph Collins as the suspect.

On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, SCOPE officers arrested Collins on an unrelated warrant. During the investigation, it was also determined that Collins was responsible for beating and robbing a pizza delivery driver in the 500 block of North Day Avenue on August 15, 2018.

Upon further review, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized the below listed charges against Collins.

Collins was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charges against Collins are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court

Sources are reporting a security guard was beaten up at a Rockford business. 

It happened around 11 pm at the Walmart on W Riverside. 

Reports of the security guard was beaten up and needed medical attention, on the grocery side of the store.

Suspect is a male black around 50 years old, 5’10, 180 lbs, black shorts, armed with a knife. Last seen in a white truck 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Suspects Beat Victim During A Robbery In Loves Park



On July 20th 2018 around 11:25 pm, the Loves Park Police were dispatched for an armed robbery in Loves Park. 

It happened at 7812 Venus, in Loves Park. 

The suspects beat the victim during the robbery and the victim had to seek medical attention. 

The suspects are three males (2 black, 1 white) and a female. The victim knew the female, but not the three males. 

Police are actively searching for the suspects.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Asking The Public To Help Them Locate A Domestic Battery Suspect

On Tuesday, June 19th, 2018, shortly before 7:00 p.m. patrol officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to a residence in the 1000 block of North Central Avenue in reference to a battery investigation. When they arrived, officers learned that an adult female victim had been battered by the suspect, whom she had a previous domestic relationship with. The suspect, identified as Jamie Rogers, fled the scene prior to the officers arriving.

Detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident. The investigation was later reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, charges were authorized and a warrant was obtained for Jamie Rogers.

The suspect has yet to be arrested and is still at large.

The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Jamie Rogers. Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Investigations Bureau (779-500-6551) or Crime Stoppers (815-963-7867).

The charges against the suspect are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases he is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Just before 2:30 am this morning a woman was walking in Rockford.

She was walking in the area of Main and Springfield.

A vehicle approached her and the suspects got out and viciously beat her up.

The woman is reported to have been beaten up pretty bad.

She is injured and needs medical attention.

Rockford Scanner™: Two Juveniles Stabbed, One Person In Custody

Freeport, IL. – 17 year-old girl in custody following an investigation into a large fight that resulted in two juveniles being stabbed.

On June 21st, 2018, at approximately 1:54pm, Freeport Police officers responded to the intersection of Benton Avenue and Jackson Street for a report of a group of approximately fifteen juveniles fighting.

Responding officers located two female juveniles who had reportedly been stabbed by a 17 year-old female juvenile who fled the scene on foot prior to officer’s arrival.

Both of the juvenile stabbing victims were subsequently transported to Freeport Health Network Memorial Hospital by Freeport Fire Department ambulances.

Within minutes of responding to the scene Freeport Police officers located the 17 year-old female juvenile suspect at a home in the 200 block of S. Cherry Avenue, and she was taken into custody without incident.

One of the victims, a 15 year-old female juvenile, was stabbed in the throat area and she was transferred to a Rockford area hospital.

The other victim, a 16 year-old female juvenile, sustained stab wounds to a shoulder and her head, and she is still being treated at FHN Memorial Hospital.

Both victims are in stable condition and neither have life-threatening injuries.

We are not looking for any additional suspects in this case but we are still investigating the actions of other juveniles who may have been involved in the initial fight.

At this time it is believed that this incident started with a pre-arranged fight between two opposing groups of juveniles who have had prior animus.

The 17 year-old female juvenile suspect has been charged with nine (9) counts of Aggravated Battery and she is being held at the Mary Davis Juvenile Detention facility in Galesburg. A detention hearing for the suspect has been scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00pm.

Rockford Scanner™: Woman Seriously Hurt After E-Cigarette Explodes In Machesney Park




 

 

This afternoon several emergency personnel were dispatched for a fire at the Vapor Shop on Harlem rd. 

It happened around 2 pm this afternoon

An e-cigarette lithium battery exploded and injured the woman. 

She received significant injuries to her head.  

The explosion caused a fire in the business, but the owner was able to extinguish the fire. 

The cause is believed to be the e-cig lithium battery, but is under investigation.
