Suspects severely beat a victim with a baseball bat.

Rockford Scanner™: Battery Victim in Rockford, possible Stabbing




Sources are reporting a possible stabbing victim.

It happened around 5:15 pm today near Parmelee and 21st.

Reports of a victim that was bleeding heavily and the source said it appears they may have been stabbed.

RPD confirmed a battery call, but didn’t provide any details.

Rockford Scanner™: Kidnapping In Rockton, Police Chasing The Suspect. Lack Of Police Transparency




On Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at approximately 0630 hours, the Rockton Police Department observed a female in need of assistance in downtown Rockton. The female reported that she had been taken by force from a retail establishment in Rockford by her ex-boyfriend on Tuesday evening. She reported that she was taken to the Sugar River Forest Preserve in rural Winnebago County where she was beaten, strangled and sexually assaulted. The female victim was able to escape from the suspect at a local gas station in Rockton.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted Rockton Police and Roscoe Police in taking the suspect into custody after a short pursuit along IL Route 2 and IL Route 75. The suspect fought with Deputies and Officers who were able to safely take him into custody.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives took over the investigation and after speaking with the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office, charges were authorized and the suspect was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The follow person was charged:

~Charles E. Swift Dob: 11/22/69 of Rockford

-Aggravated Domestic Battery (3 Counts)
-Aggravated Battery

Rockton Police charged Swift with the following charges:

-Aggravated Fleeing to Elude
-Driving After Revocation

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives will continue the investigation and further charges are pending.

The charges against Swift are merely accusations and he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sources are reporting a battery/kidnapping in Rockton this morning.

We sat on this story to see if police would release information on it.

Police have yet to release any information on it, so we are posting it.

It happened just before 7 am in Rockton, near Blackhawk and Main.

Sources said a suspect brutally beat and kidnapped a victim in Rockton.  Unknown on the victims status at the time of writing this.

Suspect was last seen near the library in Rockton.  Police located the suspect and the suspect fled from police. Police chased the suspect.

Sources said the police were chasing the suspect on Rt 2 southbound, around 90 MPH. But were able to capture him on RT 2 near Blackhawk.  (See photos) The police broke out the windows of the vehicle and detained the suspect in the middle of RT 2.


This brings up the next topic: 
Local police said they were going to be transparent, when encrypting. We feel the police should have at least released some kind of information on this very DANGEROUS incident. But they have yet to do so…

How transparent do you think the local police have become since encrypting?

Update: Police have confirmed the kidnapping call but have downplayed it and said it was a “Simple Kidnapping”  and that one person was in custody.  No other information was released.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Beats A Woman In the Head With A Crowbar on Mothers Day in Rockford




Sources are reporting a man has beat a woman in the head with a crowbar, on Mothers Day in Rockford.

It happened around 10:45 am this morning  near Sunnyside ave and Vermont.

Injuries were reported, We have been told the injuries might be life threatening. RPD has yet to release any information on the incident or the suspect at the time of writing this.

No other information at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Home Invasion in Rockford, Victims Reportedly To be Viciously Beaten By the Suspects




We been sitting on this story to see if the local police would release any information.  At the time of writing this, police still have yet to release information. So we are just going to post this.

On Saturday May 11th around 4:20 pm there was a violent home invasion in Rockford.  Sources said 3 suspects wearing hoodies committed a home invasion in the 2100 block of Douglas.

That is NE of Main and Auburn.

We were told the suspects viciously beat the victims during the home invasion. But as you know, we can not yet confirm this, due to the RPD not releasing any information on the incident.

Suspects are 3 males. 2 White and 1 Hispanic, all wearing hoodies.

Below is a recap of the local violence and police calls in the last 72 hours.

There’ve been several shooting incidents over the last 72 hours. In the areas of Central and Loomis, 4200 block of Auburn, 1000 block of North Day Avenue, 800 block of Locust, 900 block of Garfield, 900 block of Hoban Avenue, 600 block of Maryland Avenue.

There have been several in progress calls. Police have labeled the following incidents in the past as in progress. Shootings, stabbings, robbery, overdoses, murder, etc. .  Acorn and Rockton, 6200 block of East State Street, 1100 block of 15th St., 1800 block of Ridge Avenue, 2600 block of Bain Burg Drive, Fourth Avenue and eighth Street, 1300 block of 19th St., 100 block of S. 1st St.

There is a home invasion in the 1800 block of N. Main St.

Police were able to recover two stolen vehicles. One was in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue and the other was in the 3300 block of Sablewood drive.

There was a peeping Tom in the 2800 block of Overdene Avenue.

In the past the police have labeled shooting victims and stabbing victims And also murder victims as medical assist. There have been medical assist calls at the following: 600 block of St. Louis Avenue, 1500 block of Fairview Avenue, 1900 block of Rose Terrace, 1800 block of Fifth Street, 1400 block of Andrews, 1900 block of West Riverside, 1900 block of E. Moreland Ave., Auburn and Court Street.

An armed robbery happened in the area of Broadway and 20th St.

An aggravated battery happened in the 1900 block of Mulberry Street

Officials said it was a battery call.

Sources are saying it was a stabbing.

Sources are reporting a man was beaten up and robbed in Rockford.

Sources said a man was beaten pretty severely near Kishwaukee and Harrison ave. The man is laying on the ground and not moving and it appears the man may have been knocked out or is possibly dead.
