Rockford Police are asking for the public to help locate a man charged with aggravated battery to a child.  They have charged 36 year old Jerry Coffee with Aggravated Battery To A Child, he is wanted on a $100,000 bond. He is currently still at large at the time of writing this.

Sources have told us the 2 suspects in custody are: 41 year old Kenneth Litteral and also 52 year old Marc Spence.  RPD has not confirmed this yet, and have still yet to release information on the 3rd suspect that is still on the loose. We can confirm these 2 are in custody in the Winnebago County Jail for Home Invasion


On Sunday February 17th, 2019 at 0117 hours Rockford Police Officers were dispatched to 1000 N. Main St. reference a Home Invasion.

During the investigation Officers learned three suspects had forced their way into the victim’s residence and battered the victim.

The victim suffered minor injuries. The suspects fled the residence on foot in an unknown direction. The suspects were known by the victim and Officers located two of the three suspects.

Charges of Home Invasion were authorized by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. The two apprehended suspects were lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.

The third suspect remains at large but was described as a white male, 40’s with medium build.

The names of the suspects are not being released at this time as this is an on-going investigation.

Just before 5 pm tonight, sources were reporting a body laying on the ground near Montague and 20.

Source said: “West bound lane coming off 20 onto Montague there was a body laying in the road, with several cars and pedestrians surrounding it”

Some have said it appears to be a fatal.
Others have said this is a battery victim.

It is not yet clear what happened. All we can confirm is there is a scene near Montague and 20 right now.

Police are encrypted and have yet to release information

Sources said there are emergency personnel working a scene on the West side.

It happened around 4:20 pm today in the area of the 1300 block of S Court st.

Reports of a victim was beaten up near this location.

Sources are reporting an aggravated battery and kidnapping in Rockford.

It happened shortly after 6 PM tonight in the 4400 block of School st.

During this incident a small child was hit was a baseball bat.

Suspect is a white male, 5’9, 145 lbs. Last seen in a carhartt jacket. Last seen in the area of 4300 block of W State St. Wanted for aggravated battery, kidnapping.  Police do know his name.

No other information at this time

Just before 2:30 pm today sources are reporting a fight at the mall.

Officials have confirmed a battery victim at Cherryvale Mall near the American Eagle Outfitters store.

The victim is reported to be an employee at a store in the mall.

Rockford Scanner™: 4 Suspects Severely Beat 1 Victim In Rockford

Sources told us 4 suspects severely beat 1 victim on Auburn st near Avon, Thursday night around 11 PM.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

The 4 suspects fled the scene and are still running around the streets of Rockford freely.  RPD has yet to release any suspect information at this time.

Police had part of Auburn street closed off for awhile, while they investigated.
