Around 7:15 pm tonight, emergency personnel were responding to a ceiling collapse call in Rockford.

A ceiling has collapsed onto a 12 year old female.

She is reporting injuries.

It happened near 1512 5th ave

Unknown why the ceiling collapsed.

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford fire department battling another apartment complex fire

Just after 3:30 PM the Rockford fire department were responding to a possible apartment fire.

There is reports of one of the apartments inside the apartment complex on fire, near the Orchard Hills Apartments near  Charles Street.

Smoke is visible at the scene. Several units from the Rockford fire department are in route. This is still developing

They are laying a booster line to battle the fire, there is a confirmed fire. But was quickly under control. Still developing.

Around 10:10 pm tonight several fire departments were en route to assist the Beloit  Fire Department. 

An apartment is on fire near 940 W Grand in Beloit. 

Sounds like everyone was able to evacuate. 

They have requested nearby fire departments to assist.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Investigating Another Home Invasion In Rockford, Suspect Beats Up A Female Then Flees Scene




Home invasion – 2300 Kilburn Ave

At approximately 6:30 a.m on June 9, 2018 officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to an apartment building in the 2300 block of Kilburn Ave, to investigate a home invasion complaint.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the suspect had been invited to the apartment by one of the tenant’s friends. An argument ensued, and the tenant was able to eventually convince the suspect to leave. The suspect returned a short time later, and forced his way into the apartment. The suspect then battered the female tenant, and left.

The suspect was described as a black male, in his late 20’s, 5’11”, 220 pounds.
