Rockford Scanner™: Several Pedestrians Hit Overnight. One Scene Took The Life Of A Teenage Boy




Several pedestrians were struck by vehicles overnight in the area.

#2 FEMALE HIT BY A VAN: On Springfield ave, in the westbound lanes between Prairie and the Lowes Distribution Center.   Sources said a vehicle hit a female in the westbound lanes.  We were originally told the vehicle involved was a 1st responder vehicle. I worked the scene, and I did not see any indication that it was. So that is not confirmed. I did see a dark colored van with a stripe along the side of it, and a few antennas on it, that had front driver side damage to it.  Behind that vehicle was several evidence markers in the roadway and police talking to a male.  Police had the westbound lanes of traffic blocked off, while investigating.  It is not yet known on the severity of the females injuries. I have been told they were serious, but police have yet to confirm this. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

#3 Parmele and 15th, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. Unknown on the severity of the injuries. Not a lot of information is available about this scene, other than a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and the vehicle fled the scene.

The cause of the accidents are under investigation.   Police have not yet released any information on any of these scenes. Winnebago County Coroners office has released information on #1, the teen that was killed in Loves Park. We will provides updates as they become available.

 

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: 3 Scenes With Many Officers On Each Scene in Rockford




Sources are reporting a few scenes in Rockford that has numerous officers on each scene. 

The first one was in the 1500 block of 4th st.  Approx. 9 officers are on scene. This was around 10:30 pm.  Unknown what is currently ongoing.
UPDATE: We have been told it was a 10 year old boy that stole his grandmas vehicle. Police have yet to confirm this.

Another scene around the same time is near Douglas and Camlin.  Several officers are on scene. Again, unknown what happened. Police have yet to release any information.

Third scene happened in the 1900 block of 4th st around 8:30 pm. Video below by Angela Marie Bailey Eklund. She said the police stopped her daughter thinking she was another individual and then tackled her 17 year old daughter because they thought her daughter was someone else. (Mis-identification) .  3 people were detained, 2 arrested.

Rockford Scanner™: Accident On The East Side

Sources are reporting an auto accident on the East side.

It happened around 11 pm on 6th st between Broadway and 15th.

Unknown on injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Victim shot in the ankle in Rockford, police investigating




 

One person shot in Rockford.

On Sunday, June 30 at approximately 4:15 AM the Rockford police responded to a local hospital in reference to a walk-in shooting victim.   An 18-year-old male was shot in his ankle.  The incident happened in the area of Christina Street and 15th Ave.  Anybody with information is urged to call the Rockford Police Department.  Or you can leave an anonymous tip with us and we could relay to the police for you

Sources are reporting a bad accident in Rockford.

It happened this afternoon in the area of S. Main St. and 15th Ave.

There is an automobile accident near this location and injuries are being reported.  It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries at this time.

A black vehicle that is involved has heavy front end damage.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Sources have sent us another video of ATVs driving recklessly in the Rockford area.

This happened in the area of Kishwaukee and 15th, Earlier today.

Rockford Police Department said this is not a local issue, but a national issue.

This has been a ongoing issue in the Rockford area for quite some time now.

Rockford Scanner™: Another Scene on The East Side, Possible Shooting




 

Several sources are reporting a scene on the East side around 2:30 pm today. 

We have been told this is another shooting scene. But again we can not confirm it due to the encryption. Several sources have reported it to be a shooting scene.

It happened around 2:30 pm today near 15th st and  16th ave.

No other information at this time

UPDATE:  Admin Will went to work the scene, no police were on scene.
So it was unfounded or cleared up.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in Rockford




 

On Sunday, June 2 shortly after 4:30 PM the Rockford Police Department RHA officers were on patrol when they observed three suspicious male subjects standing by a vehicle in the 300 block of 15th Ave.  

During the investigation officers recovered a loaded handgun from the vehicle. One of the subjects provided officers with a false name. He was taken into custody and identified as 21-year-old Shannon Haynes. The other two subjects were released without charge.

Officers later learned the handgun was stolen from Milwaukee and are now working with the Milwaukee Police Department. Winnebago County states Attorney’s office reviewed the case and authorized the following charges:

aggravated unlawful use of weapons, possession of a stolen firearm, obstructing identification, no foid card. Haynes was lodged in the Winnebago County jail. The charges against Haynes are merely accusations he is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law








 

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Scene in Rockford




On 4/8/2019 at 7:19 PM Rockford Police Officers responded to the area of Christina and 15th Avenue to investigate a call of shots fired. Officers discovered a residence in the 100 block of 15TH Avenue, along with one vehicle was struck by gunfire. The victims suffered no physical injuries as a result of this incident. Witnesses reported a white vehicle occupied by several black males were responsible for this incident. ID Unit processed the scene. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to contact the Rockford Police Department or Crime Stoppers – 815 963 STOP (7867).
