Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle on the railroad tracks, Police looking for the driver




A little before 2 am this morning, someone decided to drive onto the railroad tracks near the YMCA in Rockford. 

It appears the vehicle was abandoned.  I briefly talked to the officers on scene and they said the vehicle was not stolen, but was abandoned. 

Police were trying to find the driver of the vehicle.

Suspects Purposely Run Over A Victim in Rockford


Sources have told us around 2:30 am this morning, suspects purposely ran over a victim in Rockford.  It happened around 2:30 am in the 700 block of Royal ave in Rockford.

The victim was injured and had leg and head injuries.

Suspects fled the scene. No suspect information.

RPD has yet to release information on this incident.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Carjacking in Rockford, Suspects Flee From Police in Machesney Park




 

Sources are reporting a delivery driver was carjacked in Rockford. It happened last night in the area of Latham and Barton.

Suspect carjacked the victim. The victims vehicle is a 2008 Subaru Forester that is tan/gold in color. Might have a delivery sign on top.

Suspect that stole the vehicle was a black female.

Around 3 am officers in Machesney Park spotted the vehicle on Orlando.  The suspect fled from officers.  The person in the vehicle was a black male, wearing dark clothing and tan pants. The police stopped the chase near 173 and Alpine. Suspect was traveling southbound on Alpine at a high rate of speed.

Sources have sent us another video of ATVs driving recklessly in the Rockford area.

This happened in the area of Kishwaukee and 15th, Earlier today.

Rockford Police Department said this is not a local issue, but a national issue.

This has been a ongoing issue in the Rockford area for quite some time now.

Several accidents have been caused from ATVs driving recklessly, According to the Rockford Police Department.
