Details are minimal at the time of writing this.

It happened around 3:40 am near the Whitman st bridge.

Reports of a person in the water, and was going under the water.

Several units are en route. Still developing.

UPDATE: A LPPD officer has sight of the victim. He is an elderly male. He is reported to be out of the river now. Unknown on his condition.

Reports of smoke coming from the back of the building.

Rockford Fire Department battled 2 house fires recently.

At 1336 Post Avenue for a residential structure fire. All occupants alerted and exited safely as a result of working smoke alarms.

 

At 3809 Thyme Drive for a residential structure fire. fire contained to room of origin, no injuries, ChicagoRedCross assisting with housing for one adult and two children.

Rockford Scanner™: Local Business On Fire, HAZMAT En Route




Sources are reporting a fire at a local business.

It happened shortly after 6 pm tonight in the 1800 block of 18th ave at Viking Chemical.  It came in as a fire alarm, then was upgraded to an active fire.

HAZMAT team is also en route.

RFD said the fire is in a chemical warehouse.

Rockford Scanner™: Bad Accident in Rockford, Extrication Is Requested

Sources are reporting a bad accident in Rockford.

It happened around 12:30 PM today in the area of Kishwaukee and first.

There is a bad accident near this location. Injuries were being reported at the time of writing this. It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries.

Extrication was needed to cut at least one victim out of a vehicle.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Please avoid this area or expect delays

UPDATE:  3 Ambulances and 2 extrication units. Kishwaukee Street and 1st Avenue. A total of three patients transported with non life threatening injuries. This involved a car and a truck.

Rockford Scanner™: Bad Accident in Rockford, Extrication Requested




 

Several sources are reporting a bad accident on Rockford Eastside.

It happened just before 4 PM today in the area of Charles Street and 31st.

There are reports of at least two vehicles that are involved in the accident. Injuries are being reported it is not yet known on the severity of the injuries at the time of writing this.

At least one person needs help getting out of the vehicle and needs to be cut out of the vehicle so extrication is being requested.

The cause of the accident is under investigation

Rockford Scanner™: Victim Shot At A Rockford Club, Police Investigating

We been told the victim was a female.

On Sunday, May 5th, at around 1:35 A.M., a Rockford man was the victim of an Aggravated Battery with a Firearm when he was struck by a gunshot.

It happened at the Aragona Club at 320 Kent in Rockford.

The victim was transported via ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound, and was being held at the hospital for observation.

There was no Suspect description available at the time of this entry. This is an ongoing investigation.
