Sources are reporting an auto accident with a vehicle on fire. 

It happened around 10 am near 11th ave and 7th st.

Reports of an auto accident and one of the vehicles involved in the accident has caught on fire.  We have heard conflicting reports on injuries, so it is unknown on injuries at this time.  The cause is under investigation.

Rockford Fire Department is on scene at 3909 11th Street for a commercial structure fire. First unit on scene reporting working incident.

Heavy smoke and flames were showing.

No reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Suspects Shoot Man While Riding His Bicycle




 

On August 17th, 2019 at around 5:59 pm, Officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the 3800 block of 11th Street, reference an aggravated battery.

Upon arrival, a male victim was riding his bike south in the 3800 block of 11th St, when a silver 4 door sedan rode past him and fired several paintball pellets at him. The victim was struck one time in the face causing him to fall off his bicycle. Suspect vehicle fled west on Airport Drive.

Rockford Scanner™: Stabbing Victim In Rockford, Possibly Stabbed While Being Robbed




Sources are reporting a stabbing in Rockford.

It happened just before 6 pm tonight neat 11th st and Wills.

There is reported to be one victim that was stabbed.

We been told the injuries might be life threatening, but officials have yet to confirm this or release any information on the incident.

We have been told the victim was stabbed while being robbed. And again, police are encrypted and have not confirmed this or released any information.

We have been told the alleged suspect is a black male wearing dark clothing. Again, officials have yet to confirm this.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Semi vs Car, Person Unresponsive




UPDATE: This is a very bad accident scene. Crime scene has been dispatched. Extrication is being requested to cut a victim out of the vehicle. MD-1 on scene. Medical helicopter is on standby. The accident is on the NE side of the intersection. Reported to be an Amazon Prime semi and a  Chevy Cruz that are involved. Avoid the area for several hours. The traffic is being diverted.


Sources are reporting a bad accident near New Milford. 

It happened near 11th st and Baxter rd.

A semi and a car have collided.

Injuries were being reported.

A person is unresponsive, and possible life threatening injuries.

MD-1 is en route, and the medical helicopter is on standby

Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested On Weapons Charges & Resisting Arrest




 

WEAPONS ARREST: On Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Rockford Police Patrol Officers observed an individual walking in the middle of 11th Avenue near 7th Street. When officers attempted to stop the male, he ran and discarded what was later determined to be a handgun. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Marcus Stone was taken into custody in the 1200 block of 7th Street without incident.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and authorized the below listed charges against Stone.

Marcus Stone, 37, Rockford: Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon, Possession of a Stolen Handgun, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, No FOID

Stone was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charges against Stone are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Why do people comment, without reading the article?

So I have noticed this A LOT lately.   People comment on a title, other than then the factual content in an article.  You can tell they haven’t clicked on to read the article. Because the comments are no where near what actually happened, that clearly states what happened in the article.

A good example and as to why I am thinking about this right now.

Burger King on 11th st was robbed earlier tonight.  Admin Will went to go work the scene for me. Thank you Will, Much appreciated!  The police parked their vehicles next door at Auto Zone. See the photo below.

As you can see the police parked their vehicles there.   But the actual robbery happened at Burger King, next door.  You can CLEARLY read that it was Burger King that was robbed, at http://rockfordscanner.com/2019/07/22/rockford-scanner-armed-robbery-at-a-rockford-business-2 

People are commenting and thinking it is Auto Zone, based on the photo posted that shows all the police parked at Auto Zone.  Based on their comments, you can clearly see they did not take 2 seconds to click the link and read and CLEARLY read that it was Burger King that was robbed.

All these people do is make themselves look bad by commenting with bad info.   SMH………………

I ask that everyone please take a second and please click on the link and actually READ the content, before making comments.

Sources are reporting numerous emergency personnel working a scene on the East side.

It happened at the Burger King on 11th st.

Sources said 2 black males robbed the business.

RPD has yet to confirm this or release any info.

Update: 

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, shortly before 1:30 p.m., Rockford Police Patrol Officers responded to El Pueblo Mexican Restaurant (1527 Broadway) in reference to a strong arm robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned a suspect entered the restaurant, threatened an employee and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

The suspect then fled westbound on Broadway before heading south on Arbor Court where officers believe he got into a vehicle. No one was hurt during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 5’9”, 200 pounds, last seen wearing a black shirt and brown pants.
