From our friends at Beloit scanner: Just before 10 PM tonight there is a serious automobile accident in the Beloit area.

A van has slid under a semi in the area of Freeman Parkway and Milwaukee.

Injuries are being reported,  reported to be unresponsive.
Unconfirmed reports are saying this is a fatal accident.

This is still developing please avoid the area

Update:  1 person in the van is confirmed fatal. State Recon is on scene


A fatal accident that occurred at 9:46 p.m. Saturday is under investigation at the intersection of Milwaukee Road and Freeman Parkway in the City of Beloit.

Two vehicles were involved, a semi truck and a minivan. The driver of the minivan, a 56-year-old man, was pronounced deceased on scene. His name is not being released at this time. The driver of the semi truck was uninjured. No other individuals were involved in the accident.

The Wisconsin State Patrol completed the accident reconstruction and the investigation is ongoing. Witness statements advised that the driver of the minivan was headed westbound on Milwaukee Road when he ran the red light and then hit the semi truck.

Beloit:

We are investigating a sudden death that was reported in the 1600 block of Wisconsin Avenue around 7:30 a.m. today. No foul play is suspected.

As we have inclement weather conditions over the next week, we’d like to remind everyone to take extra precautions when going outdoors and to check in on friends and family members while they are outside.

Rockford Scanner™: Carjacking Suspects Caught After Fleeing From Police & Wrecking The Vehicle

On 01-25-19 at 12:26 a.m. Janesville Police Officers were notified of a stolen vehicle that was westbound on I-90 approaching the City of Janesville. Within minutes the vehicle was seen by a Janesville Police Officer traveling west on I-90 passing Milton Ave. The officer began following the vehicle waiting for backup before initiating a traffic stop.

Once the officer received backup he initiated a traffic stop, just before the Hwy 51 Stoughton exit.

The vehicle fled onto the off ramp for that exit and lost control. The vehicle got stuck in a snow bank and the subjects were taken into custody without incident.

After further investigation, it was found that the vehicle was stolen by two masked suspects at gun point. The Chicago Police Department is in the process of charging the subjects for their involvement in that incident.

For his involvement, Bishopp Gunn, was charged by JPD with Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent and Fleeing an Officer. The passenger, Phillip Alexander, was charged by JPD with Being a Passenger in a Stolen Vehicle. Both Gunn and Alexander were held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Victim In Janesville

On 01-23-19 at approximately 6 p.m. the Janesville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 2600 block of Kellogg Avenue.

Upon arrival officers located a 41 year old Janesville man that had been shot multiple times. The witness at the scene knew the suspect who shot the man, and advised he had fled the scene.

With the assistance of the Green County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Monroe Police Department the suspect was taken into custody in Green County.

The victim of the shooting died as a result of his injuries, and his information is not being released until his family is notified.

Further information will be made available at a press conference at the Janesville Police Department today at 2 p.m.


On 01-23-19 at about 6:15pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Kellogg Ave and South Crosby Ave for a gunshot wound victim. Officers are still on scene and the investigation is ongoing. The suspect is currently in custody and there is no threat to the public.

Please try to avoid the area of Kellogg Ave and South Crosby Ave. Expect possible traffic delays in the area. As more information becomes available another press release will be done at that time.

Rockford Scanner™: House Struck By Gunfire Near Janesville

On December 30, 2018 at about 1:30 a.m. the Rock County 911 Center received multiple calls of shots being fired in the area at Beloit Avenue and Delavan Drive. Responding Janesville police officers found no one around and no disturbances.

From the information received, the shots appeared to have been fired in the 1000 block of Beloit Avenue and several shell casings were found in the street.

An unoccupied residence in that same block was struck by the gunfire. At this time no injuries have been reported and there is no clear target or motive for the shooting.

Police arrest counterfeit money suspects

On 12-7-18 at 4:30 PM Janesville Police responded to Woodman’s Grocery for a subject attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. The suspects left prior to officer arrival in a black 2009 Nissan Cube. Officers later located this vehicle parked in the Target store parking lot occupied by a subject sitting in the driver’s seat later identified as Kierre Washington.

In plain view officers saw additional $100 bills located in the door pockets and cup holders. While Washington was being taken into custody another subject exited Target and was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. The second subject was identified as Tysean Pollard.

After searching the vehicle, $1100.00 of counterfeit $100 bills, paper with $100 counterfeit currency printed on it, and a small printer were recovered as evidence. Also recovered was $1098.00 of real US Currency.

It was later discovered six businesses in all were hit by these subjects which included Woodman’s Grocery, Target, Kohl’s, Festival Foods, Walmart, and Shopko. Both Pollard and Washington were arrested and held at the Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.

On 11/7/2018 at 01:45 am officers responded to 5 Points Grocery and Beverage at 600 W Milwaukee St for an armed robbery. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded currency from the clerk. The suspect stole items from the convenience store and currency. The person then fled from the business leaving items behind, which aided in the identification of the suspect. Officers were able to determine the suspect was Carlos Ford.

On 11/7/2018 at 04:19 am officers responded to a residence in the 2500 block of N Sumac. The response was to a call of a hostage situation.

The suspect in this second call was determined to be Carlos Ford. Officers made contact with Ford and a female when they exited the residence. Ford resisted arrest, but was able to be taken into custody.

One officer did sustain a minor injury while taking Ford into custody. There is still additional information being followed up on in regards to this investigation.

Rockford Scanner™: Two People Arrested For Drugs After A Search Warrant

Search Warrant/Drug Arrest

On Friday, October 26, 2018 Officers of the Janesville Police Department street crimes unit and patrol division served a search warrant at 431 Madison St. Janesville, Wisconsin. The target of the search warrant was Janmarion Lofton AKA Miami.

Surveillance was conducted prior to the warrant service. Lofton and his girlfriend, Annelisa Martell was observed leaving in a vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and they were taken into custody.

Martell had 1.9g of suspected cocaine and 16.7g of suspected Crack Cocaine on her. Lofton had a Suboxone strip on him and cash. The warrant at the house was served, drug paraphernalia, $1083 is US currency, and several electronic devices were seized.

Based on statements Lofton and Martell received the following charges.
