Rockford Scanner™: BREAKING: Airplane Crashes Near Roscoe, Several Emergency Personnel En Route



UPDATE: The plane is a Piper aircraft that is registered to DBG AVIATION INC out of Roscoe, Illinois. 

Three people were injured. One male, One Female, and unknown on the 3rd victim.  (Possible juvenile female) 

At least one person was flown by helicopter to a local hospital. 

They took 2 victims from the plane via an ATV, and one victim from the plane straight to an ambulance and then to the emergency helicopter. 

Two of them were alive and conscious and had bandages around their heads. Two appeared to have head injuries. Unknown on the 3rd victim.  

The cause of the accident is under investigation.  Unconfirmed, but possible mechanical issue. Reports of the aircraft losing power, just prior to crashing.

The airplane had just taken off from the airport, just prior to the accident.  It crashed in the middle of the cornfield, just a few hundred yards from the IL/WI border.

The pilot, was one of the first people to call emergency personnel.

On 08/12/18 at 0832 hour the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department, South Beloit Police Department, and local Fire Departments were dispatched to a cornfield in the area of Manchester Rd. East of Gardner Rd. for a plane crash. The airplane was found in a cornfield several hundred yards south of the runway of the Beloit Airport. This cornfield was just into Illinois by a few hundred yards.

Shortly after 8:00 A.M. this morning the private airplane (A Piper Lance airplane), took off from the Beloit Airport enroute to the Wisconsin Dells Area. Shortly after takeoff witnesses saw the airplane crash into the field South of the Runway. The crash site was located by first responders. First responders rendered aid to the passengers on board the airplane.

There were 3 people on the plane. A Male adult Pilot, a female adult passenger, and a juvenile female passenger. The adult pilot and the juvenile passenger were transported to a local hospital and were treated and released from the hospital. The adult female passenger is being treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies have secured the scene and the investigation will be conducted by The NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) and the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).

UPDATE: The plane crashed into a cornfield, near Beloit Airport area.

Around 8:38 am this morning, several emergency personnel were responding to a plane crash.

Update location: It happened in the area of Manchester and Gardiner near S Beloit

A plane has crashed near this location.

Harlem Roscoe FD and several other emergency personnel are e route.

This is breaking news and still developing.

Around 10:40 pm tonight, several emergency personnel were responding to an Over Dose call in Rockford. It happened in the area of Biltmore Chase in Rockford.

There is an Over Dose call there.

Two ambulances have been dispatched.

Unknown if the 2nd ambulance is for just one victim and assisting.

Or if there is a 2nd Over Dose victim a the scene.

Several sources were reporting gunshots in the 1800 block of Ridgeland rd in Rockford. 

Sources said several gunshots rang out in the area.  Unknown on injuries at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Crashes Into a House & Causes a Major Gas Leak, Residents Evacuated

Around 930 this morning a vehicle crashed into a house in the 5600 block of S. Central Rd. in Ogle County.

 The accident caused a major gas leak and officials had evacuated the area.

 Officials told residents to avoid the areas of Center road and Flagg

As of 11 AM they were still not able to get the leak under control and opened up the local fire station for the residents that were evacuated.

Just before 1 PM they were able to get the situation under control and the residents were able to go back to their houses.

 








Rockford Scanner™: Three 7 Year Old’s Start Fire In Rockford, Trying to start a another fire while fleeing from emergency personnel



 

 

Around 6:15 PM The Rockford fire department were responding to a fire call on the west side.

A dumpster was on fire near Central Avenue.

The Rockford fire department arrived on scene and confirmed a fire.

While I and seen they came across the alleged suspects. Three black male suspects around seven years old.

They were running from the scene and trying to start a another fire while the Rockford fire department was watching them flee.

They are waiting for the Rockford Police Department. They lost sight of at least one of the alleged suspects.

Rockford Scanner™: Woman Stabbed Over 30 times During Robbery In Rockford

Several sources reporting a woman was robbed this morning in Rockford.

During the robbery, the suspects stabbed the victim over 30 times.

It took police almost an hour to arrive on scene after being called several times.

We tried to get a statement from RPD,  they said no comment.

RPD call log shows this as a medical assist.

 








Rockford Scanner™: Bicyclist Killed in Rockford



 

 

 

On Saturday, August 11, 2018 around 1130AM Rockford Police Officers responded to Springcreek at Reid Farm Rd for a traffic crash involving a pickup truck and a bicyclist.  Initial information indicated the cyclist, a 70 yr old male, was attempting to cross Springcreek at Reid Farm when he was struck by a pickup truck heading east on Springcreek.  The cyclist was taken to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Rockford Police Crash Reconstruction Team was mobilized and is conducting an ongoing investigation. No further information to be released at this time.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Rockford Police Department at 815-966-2900.

Update: There was a disorderly customer who was suspected to have mental health issues who was very upset and disgruntled with other customers and store employees.

Around 6:40 pm tonight, several emergency personnel were responding to a child that was hit by a vehicle call.

Sources are reporting a child was hit by a vehicle near the Mcdonalds on Charles st. 

Injuries were being reported. Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

It happened in the area of Forest Hills and Pepper..

At least two ambulances had been dispatched to the scene.

Unknown on the severity of the injuries at this time.

Update: Call logs show several burglaries in the area including a stolen vehicle that was recovered.

Sounds like the suspects were on a crime spree using a stolen vehicle to rob other people.

It began around 3:44 am near the 1200 block of Looe Key with an “in progress shooting/stabbing/robbery” call.

Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the 6600 block of Key Largo around 5:13 am.

Several burglaries were reported in the area.

Police had one person detained near Bergstrom rd. They requested medical for the person in custody.

No other information at this time.

 


Several sources are reporting approximately 20 police officers working a scene.

Both Loves Park and Winnebago County Sheriff’s office and possibly more departments are working a scene near Old River Road and Latham.

It is not yet known exactly what is going on.

All we know there are numerous officers in the area working an unknown type of scene.

In the meantime please avoid the area. We will post updates as they become available

 

Note: Unknown if it is related but the police have a person in custody near Bergstrom rd. That is nearby this location.  The person in custody is having a medical issue.
