Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Victim, Local Hospital On Lock Down




Sources are reporting at least 1 shooting victim this morning. 

At least one person has been shot just before 6 am this morning. 

The victim(s) arrived at a local hospital. The severity of the injuries are not yet known. The Swedish American Hospital has went on lockdown, for safety reasons.  No suspect information at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Scene, Possible Multiple Victims




Sources are reporting another shooting in Rockford.

This one happened around 11:30 pm near Alida st and Cameron ave

Reports of approximately 20 gunshots were fired.

Unconfirmed reports of 2 people being struck by the gunfire.
Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

Reports are saying a gas line may have also been struck by the bullets.

The alleged suspects were in a dark colored vehicle with tinted windows.

Rockford police have not released any information.

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Victims At A Machesney Park Bar





Update:


On Sunday, October 6, 2019 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Winnebago County Deputies were dispatched to Cronies’ Bar, 9032 N. Second St., in Machesney Park for a person shot.

Upon arrival, Deputies found a male with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to Javon Bea Hospital Riverside where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses reported that the victim was involved in an altercation shortly before being shot.

A short time later, Javon Bea Hospital Rockton reported that a male had arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim was treated and released for a non-life threatening.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives identified a suspect during the investigation and met with the Winnebago County State’s Attorney who authorized charges. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and the suspect was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail on the following charges:

~Kenneth J. Johnson Dob: 09/16/91 of Rockford

-First Degree Murder (8 counts)
-Aggravated Battery with a Firearm
-Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
-No FOID

Bond was set at $5,000,000.00 cash.

The victim was identified as Russell D. Jefferson (age 31) of Rockford. An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Monday.

The charges against Kenneth J. Johnson are merely accusations and he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


Two victims are confirmed shot. One of the victims is confirmed dead. This is now a murder investigation. The other victim is allegedly shot in the hand/arm, and officials said that victim is suffering from non life threatening injuries.  Police have yet to release any suspect information.

Reports of 2 people have been shot during a birthday party at Cronies Grill at 9032 N 2nd st just after 1:30 am.  (We have been told there is possibly up to 4 shooting victims, 2 at the scene and 2 self transported) It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries at this time, we have been told that one of the victims possibly has life threatening injuries but officials have not yet confirmed this.  The victim with the alleged life threatening injuries was found laying on the dance floor area of the business. The other victim at the scene is alleged to have been shot in the hand/arm area. Reports of an argument, then several shots were fired. Two ambulances were on scene, along with numerous police officers from several jurisdictions. Police were searching for a suspect in the area, they found a vehicle with a gun inside it and think it is possibly related to this shooting, but they are not yet sure and are investigating it further.  Several officers and emergency personnel from several jurisdictions were on scene (WCSO, LPPD, Roscoe, Rockton, ISP, HRFD, NPFD).  Police have not released any information on this shooting yet, if they do we will update this.

Reports of at least one shooting victim at Cronies at 9032 N Second st in Machesney Park, around 1:40 am.  The victim is reported to be on the South side of the building.

Several emergency personnel from several jurisdictions are on scene.

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Police Investigating A Shooting This Morning




 

Sources are reporting another shooting incident in Rockford. 

It happened just before 7 am this morning, near Huffman blvd in Rockford.

A thin black male wearing dark clothing and shoes, fired off several rounds from his black handgun. Then fled North on foot from the scene.

We have been told there is a shooting victim, but RPD has not released any information on this incident.  Still developing.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Another Shooting in Rockford, Still Developing





 

Sources are reporting a shooting victim in Rockford. 

This one happened on the West side, around 6:40 pm tonight at a gas station on Rockton ave.  Conoco (3135 N. Rockton) Details are minimal.

Sources said suspects shot a victim during a carjacking.

RPD has not confirmed anything or release any information on this.

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Incident in Downtown Rockford





NOTE: RPD did not even log this shooting scene into their call logs

Several sources are reporting a shooting incident in downtown Rockford.

It happened near 4th and Market overnight, at or near the Rue Marche.

Approx. 10 gunshots were heard from several sources.

I have been told by a few sources there was a shooting victim. But the RPD has not confirmed this. They have not even confirmed the shooting incident.

Sources said that the RPD had put up the crime scene tape and had collected several shell casings, prior to my arrival on scene to work this story.

No suspect information, but sources said a vehicle was heard fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed and squealing tires as it fled.  So it is safe to assume the alleged suspect(s) are still on the loose in the streets of Rockford.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Scene Near The Rolling Green Area




We sat on this story to see if the school district, Rolling Green neighborhood, or the RPD would release any information on this incident. Almost 6 hours later, still not a peep from any of them on this incident.

Sources are reporting a scene near the Rolling Green Elementary School this morning. 

RPD were investigating a possible armed subject near the school.
RPD call log shows it as a suspicious person incident.

A white male in his 50’s wearing a blue shirt,  they thought might have been armed with a gun.  The man was last seen near Louisiana.

 

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Police Investigating Another Shooting Incident




Note: This shooting incident was not in the RPD call logs

On Thursday, September 19th, 2019 at 0329 hours Rockford Police Officers were dispatched to 300 Albert Ave. reference numerous shots fired.

One occupied residence was struck by gunfire. One vacant residence and an unoccupied vehicle were struck as well. No injuries were reported.

A red Chevy was seen fleeing the area after the shots were fired.

Sources are reporting a shooting incident in Rockford. 

It happened near Fairview and Willard.

Reports of 2 gunshots that were fired.

There are conflicting reports if there is a shooting victim, or if it is just a weapons violation. So at this time, it is unknown on any victims.

Reports of a vehicle speeding away from the scene, possible a dark colored vehicle but it was going way to fast to be sure.

Several sources are reporting a possible shooting incident in Rockford.  It happened late this afternoon near the McDonalds on Auburn st.  Sources are reporting several officers on scene, and a bunch of evidence markers on the ground, next to some shell casings.  We have been told there might be one person injured, but not yet confirmed. No other information at this time.
