Rockford Scanner™: Shots Fired & High Speed Police Chase

We are investigating a report of shots fired that occurred during a disturbance in the 1800 block of Wisconsin Avenue at 1:54 a.m. Monday. An individual in a vehicle fired several rounds, striking a vehicle and a house, following the disturbance that involved acquaintances.

Officers nearby observed the suspect vehicle and pursued it as it fled the area going southbound on Interstate 90. The South Beloit Police Department placed stop sticks on the interstate and the vehicle was stopped shortly after crossing the state line.

The vehicle went into the ditch and two males fled from the vehicle on foot. The driver, Emily A. Morris, 26, of Darien, stayed in the vehicle and was taken into custody for felony fleeing. One of the males who fled from the vehicle, Jared D. Johnson, 27, of Janesville, was arrested for recklessly endangering safety and felony bail jumping.

Overnight several area police departments were involved in a high speed chase.  It stemmed from a shooting incident in Beloit bear Wisconsin and Bayliss. Several shots were fired.

Police located the suspect vehicle a short time later. The suspect vehicle fled from police. Speeds were well over 100 MPH at times during the chase.

During the chase, the suspect went off road.

They fled into Illinois. South Beloit Police threw out stop sticks to stop the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle hit the stop sticks.  The suspect vehicle pulled over and they fled on foot.

One was held at gunpoint.  They got another suspect a short time later.  One is still at large.  The suspects were last seen westbound jumping a fence from I-90 going into the  area near of the S Beloit ramp.

Numerous police officers from several departments are assisting with the search of the suspects.

Source are reporting a scene in Machesney Park.

It happened around 3:30 am in the 700 block of Kingsley.

WCSO confirmed a home invasion call.
But did not provide any other details.

Unknown on suspect information. Unknown on injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Tons Of Police Working A Scene In Loves Park




Sources are reporting a scene in Loves Park.

It happened around 3:30 am at the Fasfuel in Loves Park.
That is located at  Harlem and Forest Hills.

Witnesses said there are tons of police from at least 2 different departments on scene and many more police officers are still arriving. Along with the Loves Park FD and at least one ambulance.

Sources said there is at least one person that needs medical attention, but it is not yet clear what the nature of the injuries were.

There is allegedly blood on the seat of a nearby vehicle. (Unknown why)

As you know the local police are encrypted and have not released any information at this time. So nothing is confirmed at this time, other than a ton of emergency personnel are working this scene.

RPD labeled this violent call as “Check for well being”

Sources have told us that the men severely beat the victim (Aggravated Battery charge with great bodily harm) RPD said non life threatening injuries. Suspects got away with $95 in cash and a link card.


35 year old Randy Bray and 41 year old Anzio King have been arrested

Both men are now charged two counts each of aggravated battery, residential burglary, home invasion, and armed robbery. King faces additional charges of criminal sexual assault and unlawful restraint.


Sources reporting a group of men broke into a residence and raped a woman in Rockford.  It happened approx. 3 am on Monday morning in the 2200 block of 7th st in Rockford.

The suspects robbed the victim and one of them raped the woman.

The suspects then fled the scene.

Armed Robbery In Rockford

Sources have told us this morning there was an armed robbery and the victim was severely beaten and bleeding heavily, in Rockford this morning.

That was around 4 am.  Unknown on the exact location, due to the encryption.

There was another armed robbery near Central and Mulberry just before 9 am.  We been told the suspects got away from both scenes.

RPD is investigating both of these robberies.

On 08/25/18 at 5:25 am Rockford Police Officers responded to a call of shots fired at 4100 Auburn Street. Shortly after, 3 individuals arrived at separate Rockford area hospitals with non life threatening gunshot injuries. All three individuals indicated they had been shot in the 4100 block of Auburn Street.

This is an ongoing investigation and there is no further information at this time.
