It happened around midnight on the East side.

Reports are saying a man stabbed a woman near the 1200 block of 10th st.

The man fled the scene with the knife.

Sources are reporting a stabbing victim in Rockford.

A man was stabbed in the arm.

It happened near the 700 block of N Court st in Rockford.

The suspect is described as a black male that fled on foot.

It happened just after 1 am in the 500 block of Webster ave.

Reports of a female that has been shot near this location.

The female is approx. 32 years old and is reported to have been shot at least once in the left breast area.

Update from RPD:

On Friday, April 5th, at around 1:00 o’clock A.M., a Rockford woman was the victim of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm when she was struck one time by gunfire in the 500 block of Webster Ave. The victim was transported via ambulance to a local hospital where she was treated for her injuries. Rockford Scanner™: RPD Releases Information On 2 Robberies At A Local Walmart

Suspect is described as a black male, 30-35 years old, 5’9, 160 lbs, dark jacket and light colored hoodie and dark pants.

On Tuesday April 2nd 2019 the RPD were dispatched to the Walmart on Northridge near Forest Hills and Riverside in reference to an armed robbery.

Suspect retrieved merchandise throughout the store.  He pulled a gun on an employee (We been told in the sporting goods area ) and threatened the employee.

The suspect then exited Walmart and slashed the tire of the security vehicle outside.  And then fled the scene.

RPD were again called back to the Walmart around 3:30 am, this time for an attempted armed robbery.  A man sitting in a truck in the parking lot was approached by a suspect in a Tan Suburban.  Suspect pulled a gun on the victim and demanded property. The victim threatened to call the police. The suspect then fled westbound on Riverside.  No injuries were reported.

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Man Arrested For Kidnapping & Sexual Assault

Forensic Evidence Leads to Sex Assault Arrest

Rockford, Ill. On Monday, July 25, 2011, patrol officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to an apartment in the 300 block of North Church Street in reference to a sexual assault investigation.

When they arrived, officers learned that an adult female victim had been sexually assaulted by a male acquaintance whom she knew only by a nickname.

The suspect was described as a black male in his mid to late 20’s 5’7″ tall with a medium build. At the time of the incident, detectives conducted a follow-up investigation, but were never able to identify the suspect.

In April 2018, a possible suspect was identified following the result of a forensic evidence recovered during the investigation. Detectives from the Rockford Police Department’s Sensitive Crimes Unit followed up on the lead and were able to identify the suspect as Antoine Hill.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the results of the investigation and authorized charges against Hill. Hill was taken into custody on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

Hill was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail on a $500,000 bond. The charges against Hill are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.


Rockford Scanner™: Robbery At A Local Walmart, Police Investigating

Sources are reporting an armed robbery at a local Walmart.

It happened around 3:30 am this morning at the Walmart on Northridge. That is the one near Forest Hills and E Riverside.

Reports of an armed robbery with a gun at the Walmart.

Reports of a man pulled a gun on an employee and also slashed a tire of the security vehicle.

The store went on lockdown. After the store went on lockdown, no customers were being let inside the building and the suspect robbed a customer in the parking lot.

Note: The man was reported to have been walking around the store since approx. 8:30 pm, approx. 7 hours before the incident took place.  Store security has great camera footage of the suspect, but has not released the footage.

Rockford Police confirmed an armed robbery, but did not provide any details.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Investigating An Armed Robbery Near Downtown Rockford

Sources are reporting an armed robbery in Rockford.

It happened near the area of Whitman and Winnebago near downtown Rockford around 10:30 pm Thursday night.

Reports of a suspect who used a knife to rob the victim.

RPD has yet to release information on this incident or suspect information, at the time of writing this.

They have confirmed an armed robbery call though.

Aggravated vehicular hijacking at a Rockford fitness center

On Tuesday, March 19, 2019 approximately 9 PM the Rockford police were dispatched to peak fitness at 4304 E. State St. in reference to an aggravated vehicular hijacking.

When the officers arrived on scene they learned the 20-year-old male victim was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by a male suspect armed with a handgun.

The suspect demanded the victim to get out of his vehicle and the victim complied and then the suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Officers located the vehicle a short time later near Preston and Central and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The suspect fled from the officers at a high rate of speed. The suspect then dumped the vehicle near Loomis and South Main. That is near the laundromat on South Main.

A K-9 unit was able to track the suspect and located him hiding in the 1200 block of S. Church St.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Javari Conley of Rockford. He has been arrested for multiple charges that include aggravated vehicle or hijacking, aggravated unlawful use of the weapon, aggravated fleeing to elude, driving while license suspended, no FOID.

He was lodged in the Winnebago County jail. The charges against him are merely accusations he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


Rockford Scanner™: Rockford business robbed, Police arrested the suspect a short time later

On Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at approximately 4 PM the Rockford police responded to the Dollar Tree at 526 E. Jefferson St. in reference to an armed robbery.

When the Rockford Police Department arrived the officers learn the suspect approached the cashier and applied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect then fled with a small amount of money.

Officers located the man a short distance away walking east bound on Jefferson and took him into custody.

32 years old Charles Hill  from Rockford was arrested for aggravated robbery and retail theft. He was lodged in the Winnebago County jail. The charges against him are merely accusations he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
