Just before 3 am this morning, several emergency personnel were on scene of an auto accident near Roscoe. It happened in the area of Mcurry and Hononegah. A vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.
The driver is unconscious. Initial reports said possible extrication was going to be needed. But then it was cancelled.

One Vehicle Rollover Accident
On December 2, 2018 at 4:53 AM the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Linscott Rock Fire Department, and Linscott Rock Ambulance responded to a one vehicle rollover accident with injuries in the 15,000 block East Holcomb Rd.
A white Ford Fusion was eastbound on Holcomb Rd when the driver Jacob Doane, age 20 of Davis Junction, failed to negotiate the curve in the road. Doane’s vehicle left the north side of Holcomb Rd, striking a tree, and rolling over on its roof.
Doane was transported to Swedish American Hospital by Linscott Rock Ambulance with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

Sources are reporting a police chase/accident in Rockford.
Sources said several suspects in a stolen vehicle fled from police. Police chased the vehicle. The suspects ended up crashing into a tree near Wilcox. The suspects then got out and fled on foot. Several suspects were reported to be loose in the area, police are searching for the suspects.
UPDATE: Winnebago County Coroner says the victim is 39-year-old Barbara Whitescarver. She passed away from trauma to the head and neck from the auto accident.
The woman approx. 39 years old has passed away. She had to be extricated and a medical helicopter flew her to a local emergency room, where she was pronounced dead. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
This afternoon several emergency personnel were on scene of a very serious accident in Winnebago County. It happened on Route 2 between Gleasman and Roscoe rd, near Roscoe. Injuries were reported. Sources say this is a fatal accident, but we can not yet confirm this. Avoid the area of awhile, while emergency personnel investigate the scene. Still Developing
