Rockford Scanner™: Shooting incident and Rockford, Rockford police are investigating


Sources are reporting a shooting incident in Rockford earlier today.

Source told us the following information: “1300/1400 block of Sherman Ave blocked off. I heard a couple gunshots. Then about 6 or so more about a minute later. Cops came. One officer was walking down the street with a rifle and said I should go inside”

It is unclear if there’s any victims or any property damage at this time.  We have been told there is at least one victim, but that is not confirmed. No suspect information is available at the time of writing this.

Rockford Scanner™: Home Invasion With Possible Shooting Victim, Pregnant Female Stabbed In Her Stomach

Sources are reporting a pregnant female was stabbed in the stomach in Rockford.  It happened around 9:30 pm in the 1300 block of Sherman.

Reports of a fight that happened around 8 pm. And then around 9:30 pm emergency personnel were called back out there for a home invasion with at least 1 gunshot with a possible shooting victim, and a pregnant female was reported to have been stabbed in her stomach.

No suspect information at this time.

Approx. 25 officers were reported on scene from multiple jurisdictions.

Rockford Scanner™: Shots Fired, Possibly Occupied Vehicle That Is Fully Engulfed

Sources are reporting a fully engulfed vehicle in Rockford

It happened around 12:30 am this morning in the area of the 1100 block of Sherman ave.

Sources said several gunshots were fired just prior to the fire, the shots were believed to be coming from inside the vehicle.

They believed the vehicle is occupied with at least one person.

The vehicle is fully engulfed in the roadway.

It is described as a Black 2007 utility that comes back to an address on Park Terrace.

Rockford Scanner™: Victim Stabbed On The West Side, Police Investigating

Sources are reporting a stabbing victim in Rockford.

It happened in the area of Sherman and Johnston this morning.

A victim was stabbed in the arm.   Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

No suspect information.

A Rockford man is in custody on weapons charges following a search of his home. Rockford Police officers assigned to the ATF Task Force identified a suspect who was potentially in possession of illegal firearms.

Officers secured a search warrant for the suspect’s residence at 1316 Sherman Avenue. On Monday, February 25, 2019, Rockford Police officers and agents with the ATF executed the search warrant and recovered two loaded handguns. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Kevin Graham, was arrested on scene.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the investigation and authorized the below listed charges against Graham.

Kevin Graham, 31, Rockford: Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon (2 Counts)

Graham was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charges against Graham are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Scene In Rockford, Possibly 3 Shooting Victims

At approximately 1:05 pm on Sunday, September 09, 2018 officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Sherman Ave in reference to a shooting. Officers located two male victims that had been shot. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for medical attention. One of the victims had non-life-threatening injuries. The second victim is in serious condition.

Sources are reporting another shooting scene in Rockford.

This one happened around 1 pm in the area of the 1300 block of Sherman ave in Rockford.

Reports of the victim (or someone nearby the victim) returned gunfire.

Witnesses said there was over 40 gunshots heard.

A white SUV fled the area, with their back window shot out.

There was a get together at a nearby residence, having a cookout. When a suspect approached the people and opened fired on the group at the cookout.

UPDATE: Confirmed fatal shooting.
The man approx. 37 years old, has died. 

Several sources are reporting a fatal shooting in Rockford over night. 

The shooting happened on Harlem.  The male shooting victim was reported to have been shot in the head and was laying in the driveway. 

The victim is reported to be around 37 years old. 

Suspects are in a Red Suburban, last seen towards the Auburn st bridge.

Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm/Robbery

At approximately 1119 hours, Rockford Police Officers responded to Miriam/Sherman Avenue reference an Attempted Robbery/Aggravated Discharge. 

The victim, a 30 year old female, advised she was in the 2100 block of Sherman Avenue selling an item to an unknown female and 2 unknown males (that she met online) when one of the males attempted to grab the phone from her. 

The victim fled from the suspects in her vehicle and while doing so observed one of the male suspects fire numerous shots at her.  

Suspect #1 –M/B, teenager, no shirt, black jogging pants—black handgun—riding a silver/black bike

Suspect #2–M/B,  teenager, black shirt, black shorts

Suspect #3–F/B, teenager, blue hoodie, black pants
