Single Vehicle Rollover Accident

On 09/30/18 at 1454 hours Ogle County Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Chana Rd and Flagg Rd reference a single vehicle rollover accident with the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

During the course of the crash investigation, it was determined that Matthew C. Mancillas age 31 of Sycamore, ran off the roadway traveling over 600 feet before crashing into a tree causing the vehicle to catch fire.

Manciallas was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries and cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage.

Mancillas posted bond at the hospital and was released.

Just before 4 pm today, several emergency personnel were on scene of a rollover accident scene.


The rollover accident happened on I-90 near mile marker 11 1/2.  That is North of E Riverside.  In the Northbound lanes of traffic.

There is a truck that has rolled over onto it’s side.

Injuries were reported.  We do not yet know on the severity of the injuries.

Traffic is backed up in the area. Expect long traffic delays.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

There is an accident in the area of Old River rd. 

One of the vehicles involved is rolled over in the nearby cornfield. 

Injuries were reported, unknown on the severity of the injuries.

UPDATE: A vehicle was T-Boned near the intersection.  The vehicle rolled over. 

The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local ER.

This is reported to be a hit and run accident.  Possible dark colored vehicle involved.
