On 12/16/18 at 2:35 A.M. Officers were dispatched to an alarm at Parker Street Citgo Gas located at 404 N. Parker Drive. Upon arriving officers discovered forced entry to the business. The initial investigation determined an undisclosed amount of cash had been taken from the business.

Through their investigation officers were able to develop probable cause to arrest Aaron Blazier, whom is an employee at Parker Street Citgo Gas. Blazier was located at his residence and taken into custody. The undisclosed amount of cash was recovered on Blazier. Items related to the burglary were recovered several blocks away.

On Sunday, December 16, 2018 shortly before 1:00 p.m., Rockford Police officers were called to the 900 block of South 3rd Street for a stabbing. When officers arrived, they learned two male family members got into a physical altercation with a knife.

The 22-year-old victim and the suspect, identified as Julius Mossette, both sustained minor injuries. The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and authorized the below listed charges against Mossette.

Julius Mossette, 39, Rockford: Aggravated Battery with a Knife, Domestic Battery

Mossette was treated and released from a local hospital and then lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charges against Mossette are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Arrest Suspects In An Armed Robbery

Armed Robbery: On Friday, December 14, 2018 at approximately 7:15 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to the 1200 block of Benton Street in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned the 32-year-old male victim had met with two juvenile females in the area. While talking with the females, two male suspects, one armed with a firearm, approached the victim and ordered him out of his vehicle. The victim was struck in the head before he was robbed of cash and property. The two females and two male suspects fled on foot.

A short time later, SCOPE officers took one of the females and two male suspects into custody in the 1200 block of Crosby Street. The second juvenile female was located at a residence on Daisy Avenue. Both female juveniles were arrested on outstanding warrants. The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and authorized the below listed charges against the suspects.

Juvenile Female, 17, Rockford: Parole Violation (Warrant)

Jones and Bergman were lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. Both females were lodged in the Juvenile Detention Center. The charges against them are merely accusations. All four suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Sources are reporting a business in Machesney park was robbed at gunpoint.

Sources said a white male suspect robbed the gas station at 8320 N Second st.  According to Google that is the Citgo Gas Station near N Second st and Wilshire, next to the Taco Johns.

Suspect is a White Male, 5’8, thin build, wearing a mask and black clothing. He was last seen northbound on foot from the scene.

Sources are reporting multiple police officers in the area of South Alpine and Apple Orchard Lane

On Saturday December 15, 2018 at 1750 hours, Rockford Police received a ShotSpotter alert for two gunshots in the area of 426 Irving Avenue, Rockford, Illinois. Rockford Police responded to this area and located 424 Irving Avenue, Rockford, Illinois had been struck by gunfire.

Rockford Police Officers located spent casings in the street. The residence was occupied at the time of this shooting but no one was hurt. A black vehicle was observed leaving the scene. No suspect information was made available.

Sources are reporting a structure fire in Rockford just before 5 PM

It happened in the area of the 4800 block of Creekview road in Rockford
SE of Alpine and E State st

there is a confirmed fire with a large amount of smoke coming from the second floor of the building, in the rear of the building.

Reports of people trapped on balconies and inside the building.

People were trying to go in and save the others, and the call-taker told them to stay out of the building.

Unknown on injuries.
