Sources are reporting a robbery at a local bar.

It happened just before midnight at 2315 Harrison ave.
That is located at Victory Tap.

Reports of a suspect armed with a gun, committed an armed robbery at this location. It is not yet known if it was to the business or to a citizen.

No suspect information at this time.


Update:  RPD confirmed the armed robbery but did not provide any details. After we posted this, the bar owner contacted us and said there was no robbery.

Update from the RPD:  RPD has charged Shane Reiniche for robbery in this incident. He is on the run right now. And the RPD need your help locating him.

His last known address is in the 5100 block of Wild Strawberry Path in Loves Park. Also frequents the 400 block of S 2nd st in Rockford, 600 block of S Pierpont, 1900 block of Myott, and a few addresses in Byron.


Robbery: On Sunday, February 3, 2019 at approximately 2:20 a.m. Rockford Police officers were called to the Mobil at 2624 Stowmarket Avenue for a possible strong armed robbery.

On scene, officers learned the suspect placed items for purchase on the front counter. He then walked around to the other side of the counter and demanded money from the clerk’s register.

The suspect did not display a weapon and no one was hurt. He left the store westbound with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 26 years old, 6’1”-6’2”, 185 pounds with auburn-colored facial hair.

Sources are reporting an armed robbery to a Rockford business.

RPD has confirmed an armed robbery at the Kelly’s Market (Mobil) at 2624 Stowmarket in Rockford around 2:20 am.

That is just West of Harrison and Mulford.

Suspect is a male white that fled on foot from the business.

We were told no injuries were reported.

No other information at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Another Business Robbed in Rockford, Police Are Investigating



On 7/24/2018 at around 2:25 AM, Officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the Phillips 66 gas station, at 4402 Linden Rd, in regards to an Armed Robbery to the business.

Upon arrival officers met with employees who reported that a lone suspect entered the business, armed with a hammer, and demanded money. The suspect left the business after obtaining currency and fled the area in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported during this incident.

The suspect is described as a Mexican or Hispanic race male, 30 years old, 6’02” 225 lbs, wearing a brown hooded jacket and baseball hat.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to contact the Rockford Police Department.

 








Rockford Scanner™: ARMED ROBBERY TO BUSINESS IN ROCKFORD





 

ARMED ROBBERY TO BUSINESS

  • Location: 611 Highgrove Place

On May 4th, 2018, at around 10:00 PM, Officers from the Rockford Police Department were dispatched to Five Guys Burgers and Fries, 611 Highgrove Pl, in regards to an Armed Robbery to the business.

Officers met with several employees who reported that two suspects entered the business, while armed with handguns, and demanded money from the registers.  The suspects were given an unknown amount of currency and fled the business on foot.  The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1: Black male, unknown age, 5’10” 180lbs, wearing dark clothing, and a mask covering his face, armed with a handgun

Suspect #2: Hispanic or black male with a lighter complexion, unknown age, 5’07” 150lbs, wearing dark clothing that covered his face, armed with a handgun.

No injuries were reported during this incident.  Anyone with information is urged to call the Rockford Police Department.
