Rockford Scanner™: One Shooting Victim Just Now in Rockford, Still Developing




HARRISON SHOOTING UPDATE:


The adult male victim shot in the 4900 block of Harrison Avenue succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. His identity is not being released at this time. RPD investigating the incident as a murder.

Sources are reporting a shooting victim in Rockford.

Sources are reporting numerous emergency personnel working a shooting scene in the 4900 block of Harrison ave, around 8:15 pm.

Reports of several gunshots were fired and one person was struck by the bullets.  Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

Update: The male victim around 30 years old was shot in the back. Life threatening injuries, according to sources.

Suspects are reported to be 2 black males, that fled on foot behind the apartment complex. Then got into a smaller Gray vehicle that was last seen on Harrison.

RPD has not yet released any information at this time.

UPDATE from the RPD on the 2 different shooting scenes: RPD on scene of 2 separate shootings: one person shot in the 4700 block of Harrison. That victim was transported to hospital, condition unknown at this time. Location of second shooting still unclear, but female victim suffered non-life-threatening wound to arm.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Home Owner Punches Suspect During A Home Invasion in Rockford




 

HOME INVASION:in the 1700 block of Pershing Avenue at 11:30AM.

Member of the Rockford Police Department are investigating this incident where a W/M entered a residence and threatened the homeowner with a handgun.

The suspect was punched and fled the area in a truck.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Sources Reporting A Home Invasion in Rockford




 

Sources are reporting a scene in the 1000 block of Kishwaukee. It happened around 2 am.  

Sources said this was a home invasion call.

RPD said in their call log as an Other Disorderly Conduct
(Which in the past the police have labeled violent crimes under this code in their call logs in the past. )

RPD has not released any information on this.

Rockford Scanner™: Approx 15 Gunshots, Police Say Battery Victim At The Scene




 

RS source Alexis LaSala said she heard approx. 10 to 15 gunshots near N Main and Brown at midnight.

(30 minutes after the Alida & Cameron ave shooting incident, at 11:30 pm Details – CLICK HERE)

A short time later there were 15 – 20 officers at the scene, along with Rockford Fire Department. 

Unknown if the shooting incidents are related. 

RPD said there was a “Battery Victim” at the scene, and wouldn’t confirm a shooting victim. 

No other information at this time. 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Possible Shooting incident On The East Side




UPDATE from the RPD:


Sources are reporting a scene on the East side. 

We have been told this was a shooting incident, but as you know the RPD is encrypted and have not confirmed anything or released any information.

It happened on Charles st, across from Swedish American Hospital.

Unknown why the man in the photos was arrested.

If RPD releases information, we will update this.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Police Chase in Rockford, Suspect Gets Away




 

Sources are reporting a police chase in Rockford. 

It happened around 3:20 am near Ashland and Oakley.

Suspect is in a Blue Dodge with a plate of 414364

Comes back to an address in the 900 block of 21st st in Rockford.
And that plate is registered to a Black vehicle.
(Suspect vehicle is a Blue Dodge, Plates Black vehicle)

Sounds like the suspect was using plates not registered to that vehicle that fled, as they ran from the police.

Suspect was able to elude police, and at the time of writing this was still loose on the streets of Rockford.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Another Call Not Logged Into The Police Call Logs, Sources Said Another Armed Robbery.




UPDATE: RPD released information on this incident


Sources were reporting several officers working a scene on the East side around 1 am near Southworth and Hamilton. 

Note: There was a robbery in the area earlier, near Sawyer. (CLICK HERE) 

I went to work the scene and saw the police transport van, and several officers on scene.  

It is unclear what happened.   We were told there was another robbery near this location. And sounds like the suspects are possibly on a robbery spree. But RPD has not confirmed this.

They have not logged this call into their police call logs. 

So it unknown what happened.

RPD is encrypted and have not released any information on this scene. 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Possible Apartment Fire, Several Officers En Route




Sources are reporting a possible fire at an apartment complex in the 3300 block of Sablewood around 12:30 am.

Reports of a fire inside the apartment. Residents were evacuating.

Rockford FD is on scene, asking for the Rockford Police to be en route., Several officers and a police Sargent are en route. it is not yet known why the RFD requested the police. But several officers are en route to this scene.

RFD investigator is also en route.

Rockford Scanner™: Fight At A Rockford Bar, One Victim Transported To The ER





Sources are reporting a fight at a Rockford bar. El Navegante Bar

It happened near 15th ave and Orange, on Rockford’s East side just before 2 am this morning.

One confirmed battery victim. A male approx. 51 years old had facial lacerations and was transported to a local ER.

Unknown on suspect information at this time.

RPD has not released any details on this incident.
