Sources are reporting a fire. 

It happened around 1 am near Ranger, near Orton keyes.

Reports of a grass fire, possible playground on fire.

No other information at this time.

UPDATE:   Brush fire, no playground is effected.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Port-A-Potty On Fire




 

Sources are reporting a fire at a local park. 

It happened around 10:30 pm at Sawyer Park, on Sawyer.

Reports originally said a structure was fire at the park, then it was updated as a port-a-potty that was on fire and had completely burned down to the ground. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a house fire in Rockford.

It happened around 9:40 pm in the 1500 block of Grant in Rockford.

Reports of flames and smoke are visible inside the residence.

No reports of injuries.  RFD is en route. Still developing.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Another Local School Playground Goes Up In Flames

Sources are reporting another school playground has gone up in flames.

This one happened at Mcintosh School in Rockford. That is located in the 500 block of N Pierpont.  Reports of the whole playground has burnt to the ground. Unknown on injuries.

There have been multiple incidents at local playgrounds recently.

Rockford Scanner™: Fire At A Rockford Restaurant




Sources are reporting a business on fire in Rockford. 

It happened around 6:15 pm at 313 E State at at Capri. 

Reports of flames and smoke are visible in the basement of the business. 

Situation was quickly brought under control. Occupants evacuated. No injuries. Health inspector is en route. 

No other information at this time.

Sources are reporting a house fire in Rockford. 

It happened in the 1700 block of Kishwaukee around 3 am.

Reports of a fire near this location.  RFD arrived on scene and was able to quickly get the fire under control. No reports of injuries at the time of writing this. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a fully engulfed structure fire.

It happened in the 1200 block of N Johnston.

House is reported to be fully engulfed.

This is the same house the garage caught on fire last week.

The house is believed to be vacant.   Several emergency personnel are enroute.   The cause of the fire is under investigation.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Fully Engulfed Vehicle, Possible Structure Fire




Sources are reporting a structure fire in Rockford.

It happened around 5 am this morning in the 600 block of Shaw st. that is located near the area of Charles and Rockford ave.

Reports of a fully engulfed vehicle on fire, and possibly the detached garage as well. Reports of heavy smoke and flames are showing.

No reports of injuries at the time of writing this.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: One Injured In An Apartment Fire in Rockford

UPDATE: Sources said a firefighter was also injured and was transported to a local hospital. The firefighter was treated and released.


Sources are reporting an apartment fire around 1 am near 1212 North Horace ave. 

At least one victim has been injured. Victim has burned their hands.

This is a 2 apartment complex. The flames are coming from the living room of the upper apartment. 

Several pets are inside the apartment. 

A MABAS box 11 has been toned out, several area fire departments are en route. 

UPDATE: Neighbors told us they heard very large fireworks in the area, just prior to the fire. It is unknown on the cause of the fire at this time. Several emergency personnel from several area jurisdictions were on scene battling the fire.  The victims injuries are believed to be non life threatening, emergency personnel has yet to confirm this.

Rockford Scanner™: Structure fire in Rockford, several emergency personnel are en route




 

Sources are reporting a possible structure fire on Rockford’s Westside.  It happened around midnight in the 4300 block of Wilshire Avenue.  Reports are saying there is an attached garage that’s on fire.  Several emergency personnel are en route to the scene.  This is still developing

UPDATE: Some reports are saying the Citgo Gas station on Auburn is on fire. The detached garage is right behind the Citgo station, so it appeared the gas station was on fire. It is only the garage, possibly 2 garages. An electrical wire is also down and Comed is en route.
