ARMED ROBBERY: On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at approximately 4:00 a.m., Rockford Police officers were called to CVS (110 S. Alpine Road) for an armed robbery.

Officers learned a man, armed with a handgun, demanded money from the register. The suspect is described as a black male, about 5’8”, 160 pounds, wearing a dark blue hoodie, dark blue pants or jeans, a white bandana or t-shirt around his head, and black shoes with a white stripe down the sides and white soles. No one was hurt.

Around 4 am this morning, sources were reporting the Rockford Police were investigating a robbery to a Rockford business.

“There was a robbery downtown this morning about 5 a.m. my friend was walking to the bus stop to catch the bus to go to work

He was jumped by two black men with hoodies on ans armed with  a gun

They robbed him. The guy said please don’t shoot me just take the money , which was about $80

Apparently after he had paid his bills that he had saved for his groceries

Luckily he had his phone in his pocket and they didn’t check that!!

He said he called the police and they said there’s nothing they could do about it but take a report!

Nobody should have to go through this trying to go to work…

This is the second one I know of now that has been robbed the other one was slashed remember?

This happened on 2nd Street one block from Walnut Street around 5am

Rockford Scanner™: Suspects Rob A Man Pushing A Car, on The East Side

Rockford Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of Woodruff Ave. for a report of an armed robbery to citizen. Officers located the victim who stated he was pushing a cart in the 1500 block of Woodruff Ave. when he was approached by suspect 1 and 2.

The suspects pointed a gun at the victim and demanded the victims money. Once the suspects took the victim’s wallet the suspects fled the area eastbound on foot. The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect 1 – black male, light skinned, 16 years old, thin, 5’7”.

Suspect 2 – black male, light skinned, 30 years old, 5’6”, 200 lbs.

The victim was not injured during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

Sources are reporting another carjacking in Rockford. 

This one happened in the 1200 block of N Main st in Rockford. 

That is near N Main and Boilvin

The vehicle is a Red 2007 GMC Envoy with a plate # of Z674135 (or similar) 

Suspect was armed with a gun. If you see it, call the police.

CHARGED: Detectives from the Rockford Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit conducted a follow up investigation into the armed robbery at the Circle K (3819 Broadway) that happened on September 6, 2018.

Then, officers learned that a male suspect pointed a gun at the female clerk and demanded money from the registers. The victim complied, and the suspect fled on foot. The victim was not hurt.

The investigation was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office and as a result, charges were authorized and a warrant was obtained for the suspect.

Julian Peralta, 18, Rockford: Armed Robbery

On September 12, Peralta was served with the warrant while in custody on an unrelated charge. His bond is set at $500,000. The charges against Peralta are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Sources reporting a robbery that just happened on the east side. 

What the source is reporting:

“Just a FYI a black male just tried to rob my husband at 7th street and 5th avenue in front if the Vietnamese restaurant right now. Warn people to stay away. The 911 lady  acted like it was no big deal!!! He walked up to the passenger door and tried to hit the window with his gun and rob him” 

That is the only information that was provided to us at this time.

No other information.


UPDATE: Medical was being dispatched to the area of 7th st and 6th ave just after this, for a battery victim that was beat up by a suspect that robbed them.

Sounds like a robbery spree going on, near the 7th st area. Not yet confirmed.

On 8/28/18 at 8:53 pm Rockford Police Officers responded to the 2200 block of S. 4th St for a report of an armed robbery to citizens.

Officers learned the victims just parked their vehicle in the 2200 block of S. 4th St. when a gold or brown SUV stopped in front of them. Two suspects exited the SUV armed with handguns.

The suspects demanded money and property from the victims. After the suspects took the property they returned to the SUV and it fled south bound from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Both suspects were described as follows:

Black male, about 25 years old, armed with a handgun

ROBBERY: On Tuesday at approximately 7 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to a robbery in the 2600 hundred block of Kilburn Avenue (Jasmine’s Pantry). Upon arrival, officers determined a suspect entered the business and battered the female clerk. The victim was knocked unconscious, and the suspect took some of her belongings. Just after 7 pm tonight, the RPD was investigating an armed robbery to a Rockford business. 

It happened in the area of 2614 Kilburn, at the Jasmine pantry

Suspect is a thin black male, wearing a hoody. Last seen on Summerdale.

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: 4 Men Rob A Woman In Rockford



ARMED ROBBERY: On Monday, shortly before 10:30 p.m., Rockford Police responded to an armed robbery to a citizen in the 2600 block of Blackwell.

Upon arrival, officers learned the female victim parked her vehicle when an SUV with four men inside pulled up behind her. Two suspects got out, one armed with a handgun, and demanded money. The victim handed over her purse and the suspects took off. No one was hurt.

The two suspects who robbed the victim are described as black males, both about 30 years old. One was approximately 6’0”, 240 lbs., wearing all dark clothing and armed with a black handgun. The other is about 5’5”, 200 lbs., wearing all black clothing

A shooting victim at Mercy Hospital. Unknown if it happened at the hospital or the victim was brought there.
The shooting victim was at the Mercy Hospital around 12:40 am. 

Another shooting victim in the 2400 block of N Bell School rd 

Numerous shots fired incidents:

  • Crosby st
  • Huffman blvd
  • Acorn st

Robberies at the following locations:

No suspect information on any of these violent crimes, due to the encryption.

It is safe to assume the suspects got away and are out committing more violent crimes……


 

 

Update: After posting this, the RPD did release the following:
On Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 at approximately 7:21 p.m. Rockford Police responded to the area of 1600 5th Ave. for several calls of shots fired. Upon arrival Officers discovered an outbuilding to a residence which had been struck by gunfire while citizens were nearby. No one was struck by gunfire and no injuries were reported.

On 8/19/18 at 10:22 p.m. the Rockford Police Department responded to the 2000 block of S. 5th St for an armed robbery to a delivery driver. The victim was making a delivery when he was approached by three suspects who were armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded and took the food and money before fleeing the area westbound on foot. The victim was not injured.

The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect 1 – Black male, 6’0”, 180 lbs, mid 20’s, wearing a black hat and a black or gray jacket armed with a handgun.

Suspect 2 – Black male, 5’9”, 160 lbs, mid 20’s, short black hair, wearing a black t-shirt and jeans.

Suspect 3 – Black male, 5’9”, 150 lbs, mid 20’s, wearing a black hoodie and jeans.


Sources are reporting another delivery driver has been robbed in Rockford. 

It happened on the East side, near 2027 S 5th st

Suspects are described as 2 black males around 20 years old around 6 feet. Last seen on foot westbound. 

There has been a rash of violent attacks and robberies to delivery drivers in the Rockford area recently.

Robbery:
Shortly after 11 p.m., Rockford Police officers were called to the Dominos in the 2900 block of N. Main Street for a female driver who’d been beaten and robbed. The victim was making a delivery in the 500 block of N. Day Avenue. One suspect met the driver and led her to a different house where another male suspect opened the door and punched her in the face. The victim’s phone, cash, and pizzas were taken. She was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. One suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20 years old, wearing all dark clothing and a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up. The other suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, 5’6, approximately 20 years old, short afro, wearing all dark clothing.

Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Beats Employee During An Armed Robbery To Business In Rockford



 

 

 

On 8-14-15 at 11:51pm officer responded to Kwik Mart, located at 1203 7th St., in reference to an armed robbery to the business.  The store clerk was behind the counter when the suspect, wearing a mask, entered the store.  The suspect jumped over the counter and demanded money.  The suspect then struck the clerk in the head with the handgun before taking alcohol and an undetermined amount of USC.  The suspect then fled the store in a light colored vehicle.

 

The suspect was described as a black male, 22-23 years old, 5’4″ tall, 120 pounds, wearing a baseball cap.  The clerk was transported to a local hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Rockford Police or Winnebago County Crime Stoppers.

Several sources reporting a woman was robbed this morning in Rockford.

During the robbery, the suspects stabbed the victim over 30 times.

It took police almost an hour to arrive on scene after being called several times.

We tried to get a statement from RPD,  they said no comment.

RPD call log shows this as a medical assist.
