Sources are reporting a robbery at a local hotel.

It happened at the Hilton Inn on Walton in Rockford.

RPD is investigating an armed robbery.
It is unknown if it happened to the business or to a citizen.

Suspects are 2 black males. One of them is 6’0, 200 lbs

No other information at this time.

It happened around 10 pm near Harrison and Mulford.

Sources said numerous police are working a scene near this location.

Reports of an armed suspect in the area and police have a perimeter setup in the area.  No info on the suspect description at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Viciously Beaten And Robbed, While Washing His Vehicle In Rockford

Kassey Heldreth said ” He was hit over the head with a bottle where he was stunned (surprised couldn’t move) than the other guy started hitting him. He went to his knees arms wide open completely blacked out while they just kept hitting him while he was unconscious. They took his earrings his wallet his keys. Dragged his body out, was gonna take his car till someone in two stalls from him heard what was happened and ran to help him.

His nose is completely shattered. His inner ear is completely shattered. The whole bone from under his eyes and nose is shattered. The bone above the top teeth is all shattered. He’s throwing up blood and his ear is bleeding and he has a bubble in his brain”

On 4-20-19 at approximately 2053 hours officers responded to 4118 Harrison Ave. in reference to a Strong Arm Robbery.

The victim was washing his vehicle when he was approached by two suspects from behind. One of the suspects struck the victim in the head.

The suspects then punched the victim several times before taking the victim’s belongings and an undetermined amount of USC.

Both suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Suspect #1 is a white male, in his early to mid 20s, medium build, long brown hair. Suspect #2 is a white male, early to mid 20s, medium build, short brown hair, wearing grey sweatpants and a black t-shirt.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Rockford Police or Winnebago County Crime Stoppers.

Sources are reporting a robbery at a local bar.

It happened just before midnight at 2315 Harrison ave.
That is located at Victory Tap.

Reports of a suspect armed with a gun, committed an armed robbery at this location. It is not yet known if it was to the business or to a citizen.

No suspect information at this time.

Update:  RPD confirmed the armed robbery but did not provide any details. After we posted this, the bar owner contacted us and said there was no robbery.


Rockford Scanner™: Pedestrian Hit By A Vehicle At A Local Walmart

Update: The alleged robbery suspect snatched a purse and was fleeing, when they were hit by a moving vehicle. The alleged suspect might be connected to several other robberies in the area that police have been searching for. ~ Via source.

Sources are reporting a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.

It happened around 4:15 pm today at the Walmart on Northridge.

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near this location.

Non life threatening injuries were being reported.

A person involved in this, is reported to be a robbery suspect. The person is allegedly robbed a woman of her purse. It is not yet clear if the person injured is the victim or the suspect.

Police have yet to release a suspect description.

RPD is investigating.


Rockford Scanner™: RPD Releases Information On 2 Robberies At A Local Walmart

Suspect is described as a black male, 30-35 years old, 5’9, 160 lbs, dark jacket and light colored hoodie and dark pants.

On Tuesday April 2nd 2019 the RPD were dispatched to the Walmart on Northridge near Forest Hills and Riverside in reference to an armed robbery.

Suspect retrieved merchandise throughout the store.  He pulled a gun on an employee (We been told in the sporting goods area ) and threatened the employee.

The suspect then exited Walmart and slashed the tire of the security vehicle outside.  And then fled the scene.

RPD were again called back to the Walmart around 3:30 am, this time for an attempted armed robbery.  A man sitting in a truck in the parking lot was approached by a suspect in a Tan Suburban.  Suspect pulled a gun on the victim and demanded property. The victim threatened to call the police. The suspect then fled westbound on Riverside.  No injuries were reported.

Rockford Scanner™: Robbery At A Local Walmart, Police Investigating

Sources are reporting an armed robbery at a local Walmart.

It happened around 3:30 am this morning at the Walmart on Northridge. That is the one near Forest Hills and E Riverside.

Reports of an armed robbery with a gun at the Walmart.

Reports of a man pulled a gun on an employee and also slashed a tire of the security vehicle.

The store went on lockdown. After the store went on lockdown, no customers were being let inside the building and the suspect robbed a customer in the parking lot.

Note: The man was reported to have been walking around the store since approx. 8:30 pm, approx. 7 hours before the incident took place.  Store security has great camera footage of the suspect, but has not released the footage.

Rockford Police confirmed an armed robbery, but did not provide any details.

UPDATE: RPD plans on making a press release on this now.  As soon as they do, we will update this.

Sources are reporting an armed robbery in Rockford.

It happened near the area of Whitman and Winnebago near downtown Rockford around 10:30 pm Thursday night.

Reports of a suspect who used a knife to rob the victim.

RPD has yet to release information on this incident or suspect information, at the time of writing this.

They have confirmed an armed robbery call though.
