Car has been found. FBI Has it now, until investigation is done.


The suspect stole the vehicle they used in the bank robbery.

Shortly before 12:30 pm, Rockford Police responded to a hold up alarm at Northwest Bank (3106 N. Rockton). Upon arrival, learned it was a valid robbery. 2 suspects entered the bank and robbed it. No one was hurt. RPD detectives and FBI agents are investigating


Sources are reporting around 12:20 pm today, a bank was robbed in Rockford.

Details are minimal due to the encryption.

A Northwest Bank at 3106 N Rockton ave  was robbed

2 Black Males wearing hoodies.

Kim Knight said “they are around 18-20 years old, one with red hair”

No official suspect information due to the encryption

Rockford Scanner™: Officer Involved In An Accident in Winnebago County, Chain Of Events Leads To the Accident





Around 9 PM tonight a citizen was driving down N Second st, southbound from 173 in a Red Impala when he struck a deer.  The citizen pulled over to the side of the road because of the accident and it may have caught on fire.  Another citizen stopped to help.  They got the vehicle on a tow truck.

While they were on the side of the roadway one of the vehicles batteries dies (hazard lights drained the battery)  so they turned their vehicle around to jump start it, an officer was assisting.

The officer was out of their squad car talking to the people involved, standing in between the two vehicles that were jump starting.

Around that same time, A motorcyclist was traveling southbound on N Second from 173.

The motorcyclist lost control of their motorcycle and dumped it. The motorcycle and rider slid approx. 70 feet.

The motorcycle slid into the back of the car.  The car lunged forward striking the police officers legs and pinned the officer between the two vehicles that were jump starting.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local ER. Unknown if the officer was reporting injuries.

Crime scene unit and several emergency personnel were on scene.
