Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Scene in Loves Park, Still Developing

Sources are reporting shots fired outside of the new Javon Bae hospital on  E Riverside. It is not yet known if the hospital is on lockdown or not.

We been told numerous gunshots rang out and there is property damages, and a possible victim.

Reports are saying that police might have the suspect cornered in a Black vehicle nearby. Still developing.

Sources are reporting a bad accident in Rockford.

It happened just before 2 pm today near E State st and Rockford ave.

Reports of an accident involving 2 vehicles, possibly a head on collision.

Injuries were being reported. The cause of the accident is under investigation.


Rockford Scanner™: Trailer on Fire, Fully Engulfed. MABAS Toned Out

Sources are reporting a fully engulfed structure fire.

It happened around 3:50 am this morning near S Main and Gold River.

Note: This is the same area a local firefighter was arrested for allegedly setting several trailers on fire recently.

There is a trailer fully engulfed.  They have toned out a MABAS and several area fire departments are en route.

Unknown if the trailer is occupied.

Sources are reporting a stolen vehicle fled from officers in Rockford.

It happened near Welden and Lincoln ave around 10:25 pm

Vehicle is described as a Dark grey Toyota with a plate # of AU85819

It was occupied by 3 suspects.

Rockford Scanner™: Scene on the East Side, Possible Dangerous Situation

Sources are reporting a scene on the East side.

It happened around 10 pm near Harrison and Mulford.

Sources said numerous police are working a scene near this location.

Reports of an armed suspect in the area and police have a perimeter setup in the area.  No info on the suspect description at this time.

Still developing. We been told this is a very dangerous and active scene, so please avoid the area for awhile

Rockford Scanner™: Chief OShea Visit Local Early Childhood Center

SOLID FOUNDATION: Chief Dan O’Shea, visited the kids at RPS 205’s Summerdale Early Childhood Center, read to them, and handed out a few high-fives too!

He also joined local lawmakers and the Winnebago County State’s Attorney to talk about a new report from Fight Crime: Invest in Kids- Illinois.

The goal is to invest in early childhood education to start kids off on a path to success since children who participate in a high-quality preschool are less likely to turn to crime later in life.

A local politician is reporting they were getting a prescription filled at the CVS at E State and Alpine last night, when shots rang out nearby.

No reports of injuries.

Possible damage to property.

No suspect information.

SABLEWOOD SUCCESS: WOW! We had a great turnout at today’s #copstoyou on Sablewood Drive! Rockford Fire Department brought out a truck and City of Rockford Government Mayor Tom McNamara also spent the afternoon with us! We played basketball, slurped snow cones, and above all, we had meaningful conversations with those we serve. Thank you for stopping out at this great event today!
