Sources are reporting a structure fire in Machesney Park

It happened around 4 pm today in the 800 block of Kingsley in Machesney Park

A garage is reported to be on fire.  Several units from several area fire departments were responding to assist with the fire.

Heavy smoke is showing and could be seen from a ways away.

No reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a house fire
in Loves Park. 

UPDATE:



One person is confirmed dead.  The victim is reported to be a man, the name is being withheld pending family notification.


It happened around 9:30 am this morning in the 700 block of Merrill/River ln

Sources said a caller is reporting the house behind them had smoke coming from the roof area. When the LPFD arrived on scene they confirmed smoke was showing from the roof/attic area.

They just toned out a MABAS Card 11 to the box level

The MABAS is saying the 700 block of River ln, is the fire.

Several area fire departments are en route to assist with the MABAS 4th alarm fire near this location.

Around 6:40 pm tonight several fire departments were responding to a fully engulfed structure fire at 404 Springfield at the township building.

MABAS box 11 to the 6th level.

Many agencies are responding.

Reports of a fully engulfed structure.

Still developing

UPDATE: This is fully engulfed. Rockford Township Highway Department at 404 N Springfield. .Numerous emergency personnel from area fire departments are en route to assist.  Staging area is on Springfield. Emergency personnel were reporting explosions. No injuries that we know of yet.

Rockford Scanner™: Possible Fire At Burger King

Around 8:30  am this morning several fire departments were responding for a MABAS (Mutual Aid) for a possible fire at the Burger King on E Riverside.

At the time of writing this, several fire departments were responding to assist and the people at the Burger King were evacuating.

MABAS box 11 to the box alarm

Cause is believed to be a new heating unit on the roof.

No injuries.

No other details at this time.

George Bower said that there was a fully engulfed trailer fire on Linda ave in Rockford. A  MABAS (Mutual Aid) was toned out and several fire departments were assisting.  It is not yet known on injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Around 3:10 pm today the city of Beloit was asking for assistance to battle a structure fire in Beloit.

A MABAS  (Mutual Aid)  box 10 dash 11 to the box alarm, for a structure fire near 1018 Elm st in Beloit.

Several area fire departments are en route to assist with the fire.

There is reports of a fully engulfed trailer that is on fire. 

It happened in the 600 block of Arcadia Drive, off of S Main
