Sources are reporting approx. 7-9 police squad cars working a scene at the Mobil Gas Station on Forest Hills just after 6 pm tonight.

Police call log shows no calls at this location.  But several sources have contacted us and confirmed many officers are working a scene at the Mobil station.

As you know, Police are encrypted and have yet to release information, or put the call in their call logs.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested For Burglary, Resisting Arrest in Rockford

BURGLARY ARREST: On Thursday, November 29th, 2018 shortly before 4:00 p.m., Rockford Police Officers from the Rockford Housing Authority Unit responded to an apartment in the 1500 Meadow Court in reference to a suspicious subject.

As officers were approaching the apartment, the suspect, later identified as Darion Turley, exited and attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot chase, officers were able to take Turley into custody. Turley was subsequently charged with Aggravated Assault to a Peace Officer and Resisting Police.

Officers recognized Turley as being the individual they had previously viewed in surveillance video still images from the burglary at the Mobil gas station (360 College Avenue) on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Detectives from the Financial & Property Crimes Unit conducted a follow-up investigation. The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and authorized charges of Burglary and Felony Criminal Damage to Property concerning the Mobil gas station incident.

Turley was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail with no bond. The charges against Turley are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

From the RPD: IDENTIFICATION HELP: RPD is releasing more surveillance photos from yesterday morning’s burglary at the Mobil on College Ave. in hopes of identifying the suspect. BUSINESS BURGLARY: On Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at approximately 3:15 a.m., Rockford Police officers responded to the Mobil gas station (360 College Avenue) for a burglary.

Upon arrival, officers learned a male suspect entered the building through the roof, obtained the cash register and fled.

The suspect (pictured) is described as a white or Hispanic male with medium height and build. No one was hurt.

UPDATE: The suspect used the vehicle in a bank robbery. Car has been found. FBI Has it now until investigation is done.

Sources reporting another robbery in Rockford.

A robbery happened at the Mobil at 2624 Stowmarket in Rockford around 10:35 pm.

Unknown if the robbery was to the business, or to a citizen at the gas station

No suspect information due to the encryption.

We will post updates as they become available

Update:  Man stole beer, when confronted he pulled a knife. That made go from a simple theft call, to a robbery.

 







Rockford Scanner™: One Person Taken Into Custody, Possible Stabbing Suspect

There was a serious stabbing incident in Rockford.

While we were at the stabbing scene, several officers left the stabbing scene in a hurry, headed northbound on N Main.

The police detained a person at the Mobil station just North of the stabbing scene. (As you can see in the video above)

At the time of writing this, all we can confirm is several police officers have taken one person into custody at the Mobil station on  N Main, just south of the wreck-it-round-a-bout. (Just North of the stabbing scene)

We tried to talk to the officers and get information after they quickly whisked the person away in the transport van, but police refused to talk to us.

So at this time, it is not yet known if this is the suspect in the stabbing or if this is a different incident.

Update: Not yet confirmed, but sources are reporting this is the alleged suspect in this robbery. The jail confirms that Nickolas Wright was arrested for armed robbery, but police have yet to confirm that it was for this incident.


Sources reporting another armed robbery in Rockford.

This robbery happened near 453 N Springfield ave around 10 pm.

The Mobil gas station was robbed at gunpoint.

Suspect came in and demanded money, then fled.

Suspect is a black male wearing a dark hoody and a white halloween mask armed with a small semi automatic handgun.

Fled northbound from the scene. Police setup a perimeter and used a K-9 to track the suspect, which was unsuccessful.

The suspect is still loose.

No other information at this time

 

 







Rockford Scanner™: Victim Shot In The Chest in Rockford, Police Are Investigating





Aggravated Battery With a Firearm

  • Location: 1300 Block of E. State Street

At approximately 11:48 PM Rockford Police Officers responded to a local hospital in reference to a walk in shooting victim.  Upon arrival Officers learned the shooting occurred in the 1300 block of  E. State Street.  The victim was in stable condition.  No suspect information at this time.  Anyone with information in regards to this incident is encouraged to contact the Rockford Police Department.


 Update: It appears the shooting scene happened across the street from the Swedish American Hospital ER,
at the Mobil Gas Station at E State and Summit. 

Sources are reporting a shooting victim at a local emergency room. 

Sources said a male victim was shot at least one time in the chest area and was losing a lot of blood. The source said it appeared the injuries were life threatening, but not confirmed.  

No suspect information at this time.
