  • Pedestrian hit by a vehicle near the 8800 block of E Riverside (Sounds like a very serious accident)

Sources were reporting an auto accident near Jefferson and 3rd. 

No injuries were reported.  We have been told there was someone who may have fled the scene, but police have yet to confirm that.  

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Sources are reporting an accident with injuries. 

It happened around 4:30 am near N 2nd st and Jefferson. 

Reports of an auto accident with injuries near this location. Unknown on the severity of the injuries. Multiple people were injured and at least 3 ambulances were on scene. 

Avoid the area for awhile. 

Police said it was a hit and run.

The Escalade allegedly caused the accident at high speed.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Multiple Suspects Beat up One Victim, At A Rockford Business




 

Several emergency personnel were working a scene at the Mcdonalds/Circle K at E State and Charles/Jefferson st around 1 am this morning. 

Reports of at least 6 suspects were beating up on 1 victim. 

Medical was needed for at least one person who was transported to a local ER.  Unknown on the severity of the injuries. 

No suspect information.

Sources are reporting a scene on Rockford Eastside.

It happened a little bit after 9 PM tonight in the area of East State Street and Jefferson at the Circle K gas station.  Several emergency personnel are on scene.

Unknown if it is related, but we have been told there is an accident with injuries.  A vehicle has crashed into several other vehicles.  Unknown if this is the scene or at a different location for this incident.

Rockford Scanner™: Subject With A Gun At A Local School, School on Lockdown




-Sources are reporting that Jefferson high School was on lockdown, because a person with a gun.

Rockford Police confirmed the lockdown and said there was a confrontation at the school and one person did have a gun.

They did not say what kind of a gun the subject has. (Sources said it was a possible airsoft gun. ) No injuries have been reported.  Several officers are on scene.  No other information at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Rollover Accident With Injuries in Rockford




Sources are reporting a rollover accident in Rockford.

It happened near Royal and Jefferson.
That is in the area of Lewis Lemon School.

Injuries were being reported.

Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Two police officers injured during a police chase in Rockford




Rockford police just release information on an incident that happened over the weekend that injured two police officers.

It happened Saturday night just before 7 PM, Rockford police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper lane usage and speeding near N. Central Ave. and W. Jefferson St.

A Rockford police K-9 unit then conducted a check of the vehicle, which alerted officers to possible narcotics. The suspect was later identified as 32-year-old Deangelo Statam who fled on foot.

After a brief foot chase and a scuffle with the Rockford Police Department, he was taken into custody in the 200 block of N. Central Ave.

During the foot chase he discarded an item,  and the Rockford police were able to recover it and contain a substance believed to be crack cocaine.

During the incident two officers were injured and treated at a local hospital.

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford business robbed, Police arrested the suspect a short time later




On Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at approximately 4 PM the Rockford police responded to the Dollar Tree at 526 E. Jefferson St. in reference to an armed robbery.

When the Rockford Police Department arrived the officers learn the suspect approached the cashier and applied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect then fled with a small amount of money.

Officers located the man a short distance away walking east bound on Jefferson and took him into custody.

32 years old Charles Hill  from Rockford was arrested for aggravated robbery and retail theft. He was lodged in the Winnebago County jail. The charges against him are merely accusations he is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Rockford Scanner™: Victim injured during an armed robbery in downtown Rockford




 

Around 4 PM today emergency personnel or responded to the 500 block of Jefferson Street in downtown Rockford.

Initial reports were saying a man was down near this location and injured.

Rockford Police Department are confirming an armed robbery.
But they would not confirm the injuries at this time.

Sources nearby sent us a photo of a man being handcuffed in the Dollar Tree Parking lot. It is not yet confirmed if this is related to the armed robbery or not.
