Just before 2:30 pm today sources are reporting a fight at the mall.

Officials have confirmed a battery victim at Cherryvale Mall near the American Eagle Outfitters store.

The victim is reported to be an employee at a store in the mall.

No other information at this time.

Sources are reporting a vehicle fire with someone possibly inside the burnign vehicle in Rockford.

It happened around 5 am near 3924 N Alpine. According to Google, that is the North Park Fire Department address.

Reports of a Silver vehicle on fire and an unconscious person inside the vehicle.

No other details at this time.

Sources are reporting a bad accident on South Alpine near Beach just before 7:30 PM tonight. This is located just north of Alpine and Harrison

Injuries are being reported it is not yet known on the severity of the injuries at this time.

Police have shut down the area due to the accident, so please avoid this area for a while.

The cause of the accident is under investigation but officials believe that weather may have played a factor.

Several sources were reporting a large amount of emergency personnel at the Fasmart at 6010 E Riverside around 10 am this morning.

That is near E Riverside and N Mulford.

Initial reports are saying there was a possible electrical fire on the roof of the building.  And everyone inside the business was evacuating.

We are working on trying to get an update.

No reports of any injuries.

Sources are reporting an armed robbery in Rockford.

Rockford police have confirmed the robbery, but have yet to release any information on the incident.

The armed robbery happened around 11:15 pm near Preston and Pierpont.

We been told the victim was injured during the robbery.  The alleged suspects are described as 2 black males wearing dark clothing and armed with a gun. Last seen on foot.  But again, RPD are encrypted and have yet to release any information so we can not confirm it.

It happened around 7:45 pm in the area of Chestnut and Webster

No suspect information.

RPD did not log this call in the call logs.

Unrelated: Rockford Police were investigating another shots fired call on Eagle Drive around 4:20 pm.  We been told there was a possible victim, but RPD has yet to release any information on either of these incidents.

Rockford Scanner™: RFD Battling A Fire At A Rockford Business

Around 1:20 pm today the Rockford Fire Department were dispatched for a fire at a Rockford business.

It happened at G&K Services at 5611 11th st.

A machine inside the business is reported to be on fire.

When the RFD arrived on scene, there was light smoke showing from the roof.  They were able to quickly get the fire under control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Sources are reporting several emergency personnel in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just before 2 AM this morning.

Sources said this is a shooting incident, we cannot yet confirm this.

Neighbor said they heard gunshots and someone screaming something about someone burglarizing the house.  They are also reporting they heard  other screams of people saying they were shot, just prior to the police arriving on scene.

Rockford police confirm an “in progress person” call at this location but would not provide any other details. In the past police had labeled shooting calls as an in progress person.
