Just before 8 am this morning, emergency personnel were responding to an accident with injuries.

Initial reports are saying a pedestrian was hit by a semi tractor trailer in Machesney Park.

It happened in the back parking lot of a business in the 9800 block of N Alpine.

Injuries were being reported, unknown on the severity of the injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Around 2:10 pm today the Harlem Roscoe FD pulled a MABAS Box 11 to the box level 

There is a structure fire near Roscoe, in the 1000 block of Pinesap Place

Reports of a structure fire near this location. 

Several area fire departments are en route to assist

Full Story:

The Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department is reporting that a call came in around 2 pm for a home full of smoke on Pinesap.  When first units arrived, the found two residents outside the house needing to be treated for smoke inhalation, after they had gone inside the smoke filled home to rescue their pets before the fire department had arrived.  A MABAS was toned out, but later cancelled after the fire was found next to an aquarium on the first floor of the home.

Rockford Scanner™: Serious Accident Near Roscoe, Medical Helicopter Requested To The Scene






Update: Winnebago County Coroner Office said Laura Kraman passed away from blunt force trauma to the chest and head.


UPDATE – 6/10/18: The Winnebago County Coroner has released the name of the 34 year-old female who passed away on June 6, 2018.  Here name is Laura Kraman, of Roscoe, was pronounced dead at 12:50 a.m. Saturday morning, after a head-on collision with another car.

On Friday, June 8th 2018 at approximately 10:45 P.m., the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a multiple vehicle crash on Roscoe Rd just West of Gleasman Rd. The initial investigation revealed that one vehicle was Westbound on Roscoe Rd. Another vehicle was Eastbound on Roscoe Rd. just west of Gleasman Rd. The 2 vehicles (a silver 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe and an orange 2014 Dodge Journey) collided. There was significant damage to both vehicles. After this COLLISION, A second collision occurred before emergency personnel arrived on-scene. a third vehicle (Black 2018 Chevrolet Trailblazer) struck the Dodge Journey that was in the middle of Roscoe Rd. There was minor damage to the Chevrolet Trailblazer. All vehicles were occupied by only the drivers. The driver of the Dodge Journey was a 27 Year Old Female from Roscoe, IL. The driver of the of the Hyundai Santa Fe was a 34 Year Old female from Roscoe, IL. The driver of the Chevrolet Trailblazer was a 44 year old female from Roscoe, IL Harlem Roscoe Fire Personnel and MD-1 Medical Personnel were on-scene. The driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet Trailblazer refused medical treatment at the scene. The driver of the Dodge Journey had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital for serious injuries.

The identity of the deceased female will be released by the Winnebago County Coroner after they notify next of kin. alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing. Once the investigation is completed the States Attorney will review the case.


Update: This is a possible fatal accident. Not yet confirmed.  

Police have Roscoe rd blocked off at Gleasman. Westbound. And at Chicory Ridge eastbound.

Several emergency personnel are still on scene as of 1am.

This is still developing. Avoid the area.

Around 11 pm tonight several personnel were on scene of a serious auto accident near Roscoe. 

It happened in the area of Bridge st and Gleasman, near Roscoe. (See map) 

Injuries were reported. Sounds like they requested a medical helicopter to the scene, but it was unable to lift off due to the weather. 

Extrication was also requested, via a source. 

Please avoid the area or expect delays.

Around 7 am this morning emergency personnel were dispatched for a person threatening to jump off a roof near Machesney Park/Roscoe. 

It happened in the area of the 7700 block of Burden rd

Scanner traffic is saying there are numerous police officers  are on scene and there is a subject on the roof that is threatening to jump. They need a ladder truck to assist. It sounded like they said a fire, but we can not confirm that. Still developing.

Rain showers associated with the remnants of Subtropical Storm Alberto will spread over the area late tonight and persist through Wednesday.

While there may be breaks, rain showers should be fairly widespread in coverage and thus rain is expected more often than not on Wednesday.

It is possible this rainfall causes some flooding issues, mainly in yellow shaded areas

Rockford Scanner™: Woman’s Ex-BF Shoots At Her In Rockford, Alleged Suspect Arrested




On May 27, 2018 at 10:50 a.m. a female victim came to the District One Police Headquarters. She reported her ex-boyfriend, Zachery Laster, had shot at her while she was in the 1100 block of Blake St, Rockford, IL. She said the shooting just happened and she drove to the police station to report it. She was not injured and nothing appeared to have been struck by bullets. Rockford Police Patrol officers and detectives investigated the incident.

The investigation was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office and the following charges were authorized:

ZACHERY LASTER B/M 28 years of age ROCKFORD RESIDENT

UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON
NO F.O.I.D
RECKLESS DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM

The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Investigations Bureau (779-500-6551) or Crime Stoppers (815-963-7867).

The charges against the suspect are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases he is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested For Drugs, After A Traffic Stop In Rockford

Over the last several weeks, Rockford Police SCOPE officers have been receiving complaints from concerned citizens regarding the sale of narcotics occurring in the 2000 block of South Fourth Street. As a result of these complaints, Rockford SCOPE officers conducted an investigation.

On May 25th, 2018, shortly after 7 pm, Rockford SCOPE officers were on patrol in the 2000 block of South Fourth Street when they stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. They identified the driver as 58-year-old Rockford resident, Rickey Pulliam. Investigation revealed that Pulliam was in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine and cash. He was taken into custody.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office was contacted. They authorized charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine 10-30 grams and Failure to Signal. Pulliam was transported to the Winnebago County Jail and lodged. A photo is attached. This is an on-going investigation. No further information is available at this time.

The charges against Pulliam are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

 



Rockford Scanner™: 3rd Alarm Commercial Structure Fire, Several Area Fire Departments On Scene

We want to say thank you to our mutual aid partners who filled our stations and helped fight the fire at Beloit Box Board. Our media release has more information below:

A three-alarm fire was extinguished around 1 a.m. Tuesday after crews from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois battled a fire that was reported around 10 p.m. Monday at Beloit Box Board, 801 Second St.

One employee was in the building at the time; that employee safely evacuated without injury. There were no injuries reported to any civilian or firefighter.

Flames were visible from the roof of the building upon City of Beloit Fire Department arrival. Due to the space constraints in the building, equipment in the building, and the level of the fire, a three-alarm response was needed to safely extinguish the fire.

Thirty-three units from other area departments responded to the three-alarm fire in addition to crews from the City of Beloit Fire Department. Five additional units responded to back-fill City of Beloit fire stations. The City of Beloit Fire Department wants to thank the following departments for responding: Town of Beloit, South Beloit, Janesville, Town of Turtle, North Park, Harlem Roscoe, Rockton, Edgerton, Milton, Cherry Valley, Loves Park, Boone County District 2, Boone County District 3, Delavan, Elkhorn, Clinton, Sharon, Monroe, Rockford, Capron, Pecatonica, Belvidere, and Win Bur Sew.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. A damage estimate is unavailable at this time.


Around 10 pm tonight several area fire departments were responding to a commercial structure fire. 

A MABAS to the 3rd alarm was toned out for a fire in the 800 block of 2nd st in Beloit. 

That is at Beloit Box Board at 801 2nd st

There was a confirmed fire in the roof area of the business. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Around 9:30 pm tonight several emergency personnel were responding to a rollover accident. 

It happened on I-39 near mile marker 116

A truck has rolled over near this location. 

Unknown on injuries

Unknown on extrication. 

Possibly three vehicles involved 

At least one has rolled over. Reports are saying all three have rolled over, but we can not confirm this.

Rockford Scanner™: Water Rescue: Two Jet Skiers Need To Be Rescued From The River, Trapped In A Railroad Trestle




Around 3:30 pm today several emergency personnel were dispatched for another water rescue. 

This one happened in the area of Brooke ct and Ashelford. 

Reports of two jet skiers were trapped in a railroad trestle in the river, and needed assistance. 

One of them is reported to be upside down in the water without a life jacket.

A little after 1 pm today several sources were reporting a bad accident in Boone County. 

There was an auto accident in the area of Hunter rd and 76 in Boone County.  Injuries were being reported. The severity of the injuries were believed to be non life threatening.  There were two vehicles involved in the accident.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

According to people in the crowd he was revived and sent to the hospital in ambulance grandmother had a heart attack so she left in another ambulance

Several sources are reporting a person drowning at Lake Louise, near Byron. 

Several emergency personnel are on scene. 

They were able to recover the victim. Unknown if the emergency personnel were able to revive the victim or not.
