  • Death investigation at the Red Roof inn last night (Possible OD)
  • Possible garage fire near 3019 20th St
  • Female battery victim, female jumps out of the moving vehicle in the area of 2821 N Bell School
  • Man beat up a female on Log Cabin last night
  • Battery victim near 7323 Shellington Drive (May have spelling wrong)
  • CPR being performed on someone on N Horsman
  • Traffic backed up near Mulford and Newburg, unknown why
  • Broadway and 10th, Numerous police on scene, unknown why
  • Numerous police were near the 5600 block of Stateline rd, last night

As you know the local police are encrypted and have yet to release any information on any of these incidents

Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Hits Parked Car, Shots Fired Incident




Around 3 am this morning a vehicle hit 2 parked vehicles in the 1000 block of N Horsman. No injuries were being reported.  The victim said she had just gotten her vehicle out of the shop recently.  She had it parked on the street when someone drove by and hit her parked vehicle.

While police were on scene with this accident. Shots were fired SW of that location. Those shots were fired in the area of Chestnut and Tay.  So the officers investigating the accident scene left there and went to the shooting incident. Unknown on injuries at the shooting incident scene.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Sources Are Reporting A Vehicle Blew Up In Rockford




Update:  There were 2 vehicle fires around the same time.  First one was on N Horsman.  While emergency personnel were on scene there another vehicle was on fire in the alleyway near the 2100 block of Elm st.

Rockford Fire Investigator I3 was investigating both scenes.

Unknown on injuries. The cause of the fires is under investigation.

 


Sources are reporting a scene on the West side. 

Sources said: “Car blew up on N Horsman st. 2 doors down from my house”

Unknown on injuries.

No other information at this time. 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Man Laying in The Roadway Bleeding, In Rockford




Sources are reporting a scene near the 700 block of Whitman.

A man was bleeding from the head and laying in the roadway on Whitman and not moving. Sources said the man was involved in an altercation just prior. Injuries are believed to be non life threatening.

Update from the RPD:


Sources are reporting a standoff in Rockford.

It is currently happening at Maple and Horsman.

Numerous police, command center, SWAT vehicle, etc… are all on scene.

This is still developing, avoid the area. This is a very dangerous situation.

Sources told us this started around 11:30 am when police were trying to serve a warrant at 719 Maple st.

RPD has yet to release information.

Suspects are in a Silver 4 door Cadillac. Late 90’s.
Two younger black males.

Shots fired around 4 pm in the 400 block of Horsman.
Same area as the shooting the other night.

WEEKEND INCIDENTS SUMMARY:

SHOTS FIRED: On Sunday, January 27, 2019, shortly after 8:00 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 400 block of North Horsman Street. Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles struck by gunfire. No one was hurt. The suspect vehicle is described a silver sedan.


SHOTS FIRED: On Saturday, January 26, 2019 at approximately 8:00 p.m., Rockford Police officers were called to the 2300 block of Jonathon Avenue in reference to shots fired. Officers located a vehicle and garage struck by gunfire. No one was hurt. No suspect information is available.


ARMED ROBBERY: On Saturday, January 26, 2019 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Rockford Police officers responded to an armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of Schnucks (2642 Charles Street). Officers learned the victim used the ATM inside the business. As he was leaving, an armed male suspect approached the victim in the parking lot. The suspect then demanded the victim’s money and phone. The victim was not hurt. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’7”, 150 pounds and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.


SHOTS FIRED: On Saturday, January 26, 2019 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Rockford Police officers were called to the 900 block of 17th Street in reference to shots fire. Officers observed a building and a vehicle had been struck by gunfire. No one was hurt.

Rockford Scanner™: Shooting Victim On Rockford West Side

Shortly after 8 pm tonight, several emergency personnel were working a shooting scene in Rockford.

It happened in the 400 block of N Horsman.

Initial reports are saying A male approx. 19 years old was shot in the leg. Unknown on the extent of the injuries.  No suspect information at this time.
UPDATE: Police said no shooting victim was on scene. Possible self transport.

Source said: “Shots fired. 2 cars struck by gunfire. Multiple police on scene and a k9.

Approx.  26 shots were fired.

Suspect is a African American male around 25 years of age. Black hat, black jacket, black pants. Was shooting a 9 mm pistol”

Update: Original reports said a 19 year old male was shot in the leg. Police said there was no shooting victim at the scene. Possible self transport, or unfounded.  So we can only confirm shots fired at this time. Shots are confirmed fired, uncertain on an actual shooting victim at this time.
