Another Home Invasion in Rockford


Around 3 am this morning a broadcast came over the scanner in reference to a home invasion that happened near 317 Underwood in Rockford.
Suspect vehicle is described as a Maroon Saturn. Last seen westbound on Crosby from Daisy

Suspects: #1 Black male wearing dark clothing and a stocking cap
#2 Black male, thin build, dark clothing.

RS Fans Reporting Shooting & Home Invasion in Rockford


On 11-30-16, at 2:51 PM, the Rockford Police Department responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Echo Street in regards to a subject that had been shot during the course of a home invasion.  Upon arrival officers found a subject suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.  He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  The initial investigation revealed two supects forced their way into the residence and a struggled took place with the victim.  During the course of the struggle one of the suspects shot the victim and then both suspects subsequently fled the area on foot.  The suspects are both desribed as black males armed with handguns.

At the time of this post no additonal details were available.

Several fans have contacted us and said there was a home invasion and shooting in the Orton Keyes off of Kishwaukee.

Rockford police are encrypted, and they have yet to release any information.

Rockford Scanner fan contacted us around midnight and said:
“Home invasion attempt at our home on Bell Ave. Cops here now investigating.  the 1800 block of Bell ave. Suspect info is unknown right now. They tried to break in through the back yard first which is privacy fenced in and came back again to the front door after the police left the first time. The cops are back now looking around again”




Home Invasion/Burglary in Rockford

Around 9 pm tonight several Rockford Scanner fans were asking about what happened near the 3800 block of Shirley rd in Rockford.

As you know the Rockford police are encrypted, and they never released any information.

A Rockford Scanner fan contacted us and said there was a burglary that had just happened. Possible home invasion.

No suspect information, due to the RPD being encrypted.

Two armed men broke into a 79 year old back door. She fought with one of the suspects and they got away with only her purse. Crime scene and K-9 units were on hand.

Home Invasion In Rockford




On November 20th, at 6:37pm, the Rockford Police Department responded to 126 Miriam Ave in reference to a Home Invasion. Preliminary investigations revealed that after a knock on the front door the 14 year old victim opened the door to find two armed suspects. The suspects pushed their way into the residence and then confronted the adult female victim in the house. The suspects demanded cash and drugs. The victim did not have any narcotics but did hand over an undisclosed small amount of cash. The suspects then left the area. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspects were described as follows:
Black male, 6’-3”, 300 lbs., wearing blue jeans and hoodie armed with unknown type handgun
White male, 5’-11”, 160 lbs., gray sweat pants and black hoodie armed with an unknown type handgun.

Home Invasion In Rockford

On Monday, November 14, 2016 at 1116 hours Rockford Police Officers responded to 2323 Overdene Ave in reference to a Home Invasion. The victim advised he was home alone sleeping when he heard pounding at the door to the residence. As the victim got out of bed to investigate he was confront by a black in the hallway of his residence. The suspect pointed what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun at him before fleeing out of the residence. The suspect was followed by two additional suspects. All suspects were described as teenage black males with short dreads. Suspects last know direction was east on foot from the residence.  Point of entry was determined to be an east side door to the residence forced open. The victim was not injured.

Around 11:34 am this morning a broadcast came over the un-encrypted airwaves of the ISP in reference to a home invasion 2300 block of Overdene in Rockford. The suspects are described as three black males, 15-17 years old, all had dreadlocks. last seen eastbound on foot.

On Tuesday Nov 1, at around 08:00 PM, Officers of the Rockford Police Department responded to a house in the 1700 block of Chestnut St in reference to a Home Invasion. The victim, a juvenile female resident of the home, told police that two suspects entered her home and ransacked it before leaving a few moments later. She did not know if anything had been taken. The victim was not injured during this incident. Suspect #1 was described as a male subject, average height and build, wearing all black clothing with a black ski mask over his face. The victim did not see the second subject. No arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing


Home Invasion in Rockford, Suspects Flee



Thanks to the UN-ENCRYPTED airwaves from the ISP we heard a home invasion that happened on 12th st in Rockford. It happened in the 1400 block of 12th st around 8:30 pm tonight. The suspects are described as the following:

  1. Male black, approx. 45 years old, wearing a Green jacket
  2. Male black, approx. 20 years old wearing a Red jacket
  3. Male black around 20 years old
  4. Male black around 20 years old

Last seen northbound on foot from the scene.




Home Invasion in Machesney park, Suspect Beats Victim During Home Invasion

After a brief chase near Evans and N Second, police arrested the alleged home invasion suspect.

The sheriff’s department says Poore may also be responsible for two attempted pickups of teen girls, one in the 900 block of Maple Avenue and the other in the 7600 block of Scott Lane

In addition to home invasion charges, Poore has also been charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing to elude police and other traffic charges stemming from the chase.


This afternoon around 4:30 pm there was a home invasion near 4900 block of Minns in Machesney Park. The victim was beaten by the suspect. The suspect fled in a Red Truck with a Grey or Silver stripe on it. He is described as a white male around 30-50 of age, unshaven, wearing a brown hoodie and brown sweatpants. They have called medical for the victim and also the crime scene unit.
