Rockford Scanner™: Home Owner Punches Suspect During A Home Invasion in Rockford




 

HOME INVASION:in the 1700 block of Pershing Avenue at 11:30AM.

Member of the Rockford Police Department are investigating this incident where a W/M entered a residence and threatened the homeowner with a handgun.

The suspect was punched and fled the area in a truck.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Sentenced to 14 Years, For A Rockford Home Invasion




 

Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announces that Zedvie L. Santos (DOB: 2/22/1966) was sentenced to 14 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Judge Randy Wilt. The defendant will also be on mandatory supervised release for three years after she is released from prison.

Santos pled guilty to Home Invasion, then the court found her guilty but mentally ill subsequent to her guilty plea.

On March 11th, 2018, Rockford Police Officers responded to a Rockford hospital in reference to a battery victim. Upon arrival, Officers met with an adult male, who reported he was inside his apartment in the 400 block of Court Street, when someone knocked on his door.

The victim opened the door and an unknown female pushed her way inside his residence. The female began battering the male and demanded all his money. Rockford Police Detectives conducted a follow up investigation and Zedvie Santos was developed as the suspect.

The investigation was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office for charges. Santos was subsequently indicted by a grand jury on Home Invasion charges.

Home Invasion is a Class X Felony that is punishable by a sentence of 6-30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by three years of Mandatory Supervised Release. Santos was sentenced to 14 years in the Department of Corrections which will be served at 50%.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Numerous Police Working A Scene Near S. Beloit




 

Sources are reporting numerous police working a scene in South Beloit.  It happened around 10:50 pm near the 800 block of Salmon ave. 

We were told that there was a robbery/home invasion, and police have set up a perimeter in the area to search for the suspects. 

As you know police are encrypted and have not confirmed anything or released any information.

Sources were reporting several officers working a scene in the 800 block of Mattis ave around 3:30 pm Sunday afternoon.

At the time of writing this, the RPD call log does confirm a home invasion call. But RPD has yet to release any information on the incident.

Sources are reporting the Rockford Police are investigating a home invasion in Rockford. 

It happened on Friday around 12:30 pm in the 600 block of Miriam. 

We were told there were injuries, but the RPD have not confirmed anything or released any information. Their call log does confirm a home invasion call.

Sources are reporting a home invasion on the East side.

It happened just before 2 am in the 1300 block of Charles st.
(On Charles between 9th & 10th st)

At the time of writing this, the RPD has not released any information.

We were told 2 suspects committed a home invasion in the 1300 block of Charles st just before 2 am.

Suspects are described as 2 black males, both approx. 5’4, wearing dark masks and clothing. One of them had a symbol of the true religion Buddha on their clothing.  One suspect was armed with a revolver and another was armed with a .357

Last seen northbound on foot from the scene.

Unknown on injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Home Invasion With Possible Injuries




Sources are reporting a home invasion in Rockford.

It happened around 9:30 am this morning in the 3000 block of Chateau.

Initial reports are saying there was a home invasion with injuries.

Suspects are 3 black males, that fled in a White vehicle. All armed with guns.

Reports that the suspects have viciously beaten a victim, but officials have yet to confirm this.

Update from the RPD:

Officers were called to the 1100 block of 19th Street around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday after reports of a home invasion.

Police say five or six men broke into the home around 1 a.m.

The suspects allegedly took off with a woman’s cell phone, cash and electronics from the household.

Police say no one was hurt, but the break-in does not appear to be at random.

It happened just before 3 am near the 1100 block of 19th st.

We have been told there were injuries being reported. Unknown on the severity of the injuries. Sources said the suspects were a couple black male suspects, armed with guns and wearing dark clothing.

RPD has yet to confirm this.
