Rockford Scanner™: Sources Reporting A Man Shot In Rockford & Passed Away



Details are minimal because RPD are encrypted and have yet to release information. 

UPDATE: Confirmed fatal shooting.
The man approx. 37 years old, has died. 


Several sources are reporting a fatal shooting in Rockford over night. 

The shooting happened on Harlem.  The male shooting victim was reported to have been shot in the head and was laying in the driveway. 

The victim is reported to be around 37 years old. 

Suspects are in a Red Suburban, last seen towards the Auburn st bridge.

Several sources have reported many accidents in the area today. 

#1 A motorcycle has crashed on Montague and Hoisington. At least one person was reporting injuries. Unknown on the severity of the injuries. 

#2 Multiple vehicle accident in the area of Perryville and Charles. Unknown on injuries. 

#3  Harlem and Alpine there was an accident with injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Woman Seriously Hurt After E-Cigarette Explodes In Machesney Park




 

 

This afternoon several emergency personnel were dispatched for a fire at the Vapor Shop on Harlem rd. 

It happened around 2 pm this afternoon

An e-cigarette lithium battery exploded and injured the woman. 

She received significant injuries to her head.  

The explosion caused a fire in the business, but the owner was able to extinguish the fire. 

The cause is believed to be the e-cig lithium battery, but is under investigation. 

 

 

 

 

 



Rockford Scanner™: Local Officers Participate In The Lighting Of The Torch, For The Special Olympics

This past Saturday 5/5/18, Loves Park Police Officers Johnson, Kindred, Pyfer, and Roberts, alongside multiple other state line area police departments, had the opportunity of helping a select few athletes light the torch to kick off this years Special Olympics Spring Games.

There were around 540 athletes who came to participate at Harlem High School for the 50th annual Special Olympics Spring Games!
