Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Business Robbed At gunpoint





 

On Thursday August 22nd, 2019 at 9:05 pm Rockford Police Officers responded to the Family Dollar store at 3124 N. Rockton to investigate an Armed Robbery that had just occurred.

Officers spoke with employees and witnesses who advised 3 black male suspects had entered the store and demanded money.

2 of the 3 suspects were armed. The employees and witnesses advised all three suspects were masked. The suspects left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area on foot.

No employees or witnesses were injured.

Rockford Scanner™: Suspects viciously beat a victim with a hammer in Rockford




 

On Sunday shortly before 7 PM.  The Rockford police responded to the McDonald’s at 3710 Auburn in reference to an injured person. 

When officers arrived they located a 24-year-old male suffering from a head injury. The incident occurred a few minutes prior at the Family Dollar at 3824 Auburn St. 

The victim exited the store and three suspects battered the victim.  One of the suspects was armed with a hammer and viciously beat the victim.  The victim was transported to a nearby hospital.

The suspects are described as three black males in their 20s.  The first suspect was last seen wearing a camouflage hat, yellow shirt, camouflage pants and white shoes. 

The second suspect was armed with the hammer had short dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. 

The third suspect had long dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a white shirt and red pants.

Rockford Scanner™: Another Business in Rockford Has Been Robbed, Police Are Investigating




 

Sources are reporting an armed robbery to the Family Dollar at 501 Springfield in Rockford. 

It happened just before 8 pm tonight.  We were told all the suspects had masks on when they robbed the business. They fled across the street and took off their masks. Local neighborhood cameras at the houses nearby were able to capture good quality video of the suspects after they took off their masks.  They are still on the loose.  Local police are investigating.

Rockford Scanner™: Rollover Accident in Rockford




Sources are reporting a rollover accident in Rockford.

It happened just before 4 pm today in the 4100 block of Auburn.

A car has rolled over  near the Auburn Manor.

2 people were able to escape the vehicle. It is unknown if anyone else was inside. Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Around 5:30 pm tonight the Rockford Fire Department were dispatched for a possible structure fire at a Rockford business.

Sources are reporting smoke inside the Family Dollar in the 3100 block of 11th st.   They are evacuating the building.

Rockford Fire Department is en route. Still developing.

UPDATE: Nothing showing from the outside, RFD is investigating.

On Thursday November 15, 2018 at 5:06pm, Rockford Police Officers responded to the Dollar General located at 3214 Auburn St in reference to an armed robbery in progress.  Upon arrival, Officers located the male suspect in the front parking lot and took him into custody without incident.  The suspect was armed with a broken bottle and demanded money from the three female employees.  The suspect did not get any money or property.  No injuries were reported.  This is an on-going investigation.

Note: RPD did not release the name of the suspect yet


Sources are reporting another Rockford business robbed.

This one happened a little bit ago (Approx. 5 PM) at the Dollar General on Auburn st.  Sources are reporting  crime scene tape on the doors and the crime scene unit there.

No suspect information, due to the encryption

Local Dollar Store Robbery on East State, Suspect Drops Wallet While Fleeing



 

 

 

An RS fan reported to us that the Family Dollar next to the DMV on the 3700 block of East State ST has been robbed.

This fan witnessed a heavy set pudgy faced black male in a white t-shirt and red pants with curly hair run out of the family dollar store with an employee yelling “STOP THAT MAN”.

As this person ran he dropped his wallet according to the fan report.

If you’re in the area of the 3700 block of East State ST please notify the police if you see someone matching this description.

After posting this, another fan said the description was Hispanic male with black jeans with short hair and gray t-shirt.
