2 People Stabbed in Rockford

This morning around 7:20 am a Rockford Scanner fan was reporting 2 stabbing victims on Parkside ave. in Rockford. There was a fight near an alleyway. Two people were stabbed. 2 Ambulances dispatched.

Rockford police have yet to release any information, 12 hours later………

House Struck By Gunfire in Rockford



Officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 3600 block of Preston Street.  Responding officers discovered that the west side of 3614 Preston Street had been struck three times by gunfire.  No one inside was injured.  The victims did not hear the gun shots but heard glass break and then noticed their house had been struck.

Officers did not locate any shell casings.  During a neighborhood check it was learned that after the shots were heard a black male was seen walking from the area however there is no indication that he was involved.



Armed Robbery To A Citizen In Rockford



Around 3 am this morning a broadcast came over the un-encrypted airwaves of the Illinois State police in reference to an armed robbery in Rockford.

It happened on Ridge ave in Rockford around 2 am.

The suspects fled in a Dark Blue Chevy Lumina 2 door.

#1 Male black around 6’2, wearing a black jacket or hooded sweatshirt. Armed with a gun.

#2 Male black, 5’6 wearing a White jumpsuit and armed with a gun

Another Person Stabbed In Rockford



Around 7:19 pm tonight the Rockford Fire Department were dispatched to an address on Broadway. Sounds like the 1000 block of Broadway, but not confirmed yet. At Off The Top Barber Shop
Scanner traffic is minimal only saying there is a stabbing victim near this location. The victim is at a barber shop. The victim has been stabbed in the stomach area. He has lost consciousness

UPDATE: The victim has been stabbed many times in the chest and stomach area.  The vitals on the victim are very weak. They have called everyone available at the ER to be ready. The victim was transported to a local ER. The victim is a male around 40 years old.  The injuries are life threatening.

Sounds like the stabbing happened at a different location, and the victim walked into the barber shop, to seek help.

On Saturday, December 03, 2016 around 1915 hours Rockford Police Officers responded to Off the Top Barber Shop at 1024 Broadway in reference to a stabbing victim.  Upon arrival officers located a 48 year old black male suffering from multiple stab wounds. Rockford Fire arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

During the course of the investigation officers learned the stabbing occurred in an alley to the south of Broadway and 9th St.  At the time of this posting the victim was in serious condition.  No suspect information is available at this time.

Shooting Victim At Local Business, Victim Shot Multiple Times


Around 6:38 pm tonight the RFD were dispatched to 3429 N Main at Fas Mart. Scanner traffic is saying there is a male in his 20’s that has been shot. The victim is inside the store.

It is not known if the shooting happened at the store or at a different location.

The victim has been shot 3 times.

Rockford police are encrypted, so no information is available from them. 

RS FAN: What I have gathered from neighbors who were out when it happened was that there was a dispute at a house (a few neighbors suspect to be a drug house due to suspicious activity we all have seen….but didn’t want to be to snoopy.) There was a Sargent a couple blocks away and chased and captured one car. However a neighbor said she saw multiple people scatter from the area. The victim just ran to fast fuel but was actually shot in the alleyway.

On Friday, December 2, at around 6:30 p.m., Officers of the Rockford Police Department responded to the 3400 block of Louise St for an Aggravated Battery with a Firearm complaint.  Upon arrival Officers locate a 22 year-old Rockford man who had been shot several times.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds.  No suspects were identified upon initial investigation.

Heavy Police Presence/Possible Raid In Rockford


Around 3 pm today several Rockford Scanner fans have contacted us and said there is a heavy police presence near 12th st and 10th ave. This is a possible raid.

Rockford Police are encrypted. And they have not released any information.

Police Searching For A 15-year-old, For 1st Degree Murder Charges In Rockford



On Friday November 11, 2016 shortly before 7:00 p.m. patrol officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the area of North Rockton Avenue and Bruce Street in reference to a shooting incident. When they arrived officers located two victims: a 14 year old male, later identified as Jamario Crawford, who was deceased; and a 17 year old male, later identified as Lontrell Brantley, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Brantley was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Rockford Police Department conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident and the results were reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, First Degree Murder charges were authorized and a warrant was issued for the 15 year old suspect, Coley Carwell.

WANTED: Coley Carwell 15 years old Rockford, IL
CHARGES: First Degree Murder
BOND: $3 million

Carwell’s photo is not available at this time due to his age. Carwell has yet to be arrested on the warrant and his current whereabouts are unknown.
No further information is available at this time. Additional details will be released when they become available.

The charges against Carwell are merely accusations and not evidence of his guilt. As with defendants in all criminal cases Carwell is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court

Rockford Business Robbed At Gunpoint




Suspect #1 B/M 30 black jacket, red and black back pack

Both armed w/unknown typed handguns and left business unknown direction.


On Friday, December 02, 2016 at 1153 hours Rockford Police Officers responded to G & G Carwash located at 1924 Clifton Ave in reference to an Armed Robbery to the business. Upon arrival, officers were advised two black male suspects confronted three persons working at the business and demanded money. The suspects took the wallets of two of the persons inside of the business but the third person managed to exit the business to notify the police. Neither of the three persons were injured. This is an on going investigation.



Home Invasion/Burglary in Rockford

Around 9 pm tonight several Rockford Scanner fans were asking about what happened near the 3800 block of Shirley rd in Rockford.

As you know the Rockford police are encrypted, and they never released any information.

A Rockford Scanner fan contacted us and said there was a burglary that had just happened. Possible home invasion.

No suspect information, due to the RPD being encrypted.

Two armed men broke into a 79 year old back door. She fought with one of the suspects and they got away with only her purse. Crime scene and K-9 units were on hand.

Heavy Rockford Police Presence Near 11th st, Unknown Scene

UPDATE: The scene was on 9th st.  but several officers were on/near 11th st for the perimeter. They concentrated their search in the Keith Creek. Still no suspect information or what happened.  This is obviously a dangerous situation, since there are a lot of officers on scene. Please avoid the area. 

Main Scene was near 6th ave and 9th

Officers on scene said they were not able to talk to Rockford Scanner.  Fans that live in the area told us that the scene is a man with a gun, that fled from a vehicle.

Rockford police were reported to be at 9th street and 6th ave for an unknown scene involving many police. Police were seen at many locations forming a large perimeter including a K9 searching for a suspect.

When we asked for information from the RPD, they said “I am not able to release any information”

Due to this and radio encryption we have no suspect information available at this time.

Several Rockford Scanner fans have contacted us and said there are multiple police officers on 11th St. in the areas of 6th Avenue all the way down to the railroad.

It is not yet known exactly what is going on due to the police encryption. Please avoid the area!
