Rockford Scanner™: Robbery At A Rockford Business, Suspects Get Away

On Saturday June 8, 2019, shortly after 6:26 PM, Rockford Police Officers responded to The Dollar General (1405 Kishwaukee Street), for an armed robbery. Officers learned that four suspects all armed with handguns, entered the business and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of money from the registers. The suspects fled on foot from the store.

The suspects are described as black males in the late teens to early twenties.

The first suspect is approximately 6’0”, thin build, Nike hoodie, black pants, white shoes, and white gloves.

The second suspect is approximately 5’8”, medium build, black mask, white shirt, black pants, white shoes, and white gloves.

The third suspect is approximately 5’9”, thin build, blue and white facemask, maroon hoodie, blue Adidas sweatpants.

The fourth suspect is approximately 5’9”, black and white facemask, and black hoodie with a red “N” on chest, black pants, red shoes.

Suspects are 4 black males with hoodies.

A black impala with a plate of BH96304 that comes back to an address on 26th st is involved.

All the suspects are armed with guns.



Rockford Scanner™: Man Arrested After Allegedly Robbing A Local Business



ROBBERY ARREST: A Rockford man faces charges after robbing a business. On Tuesday, October 23, 2018 shortly after 2:00 p.m., Rockford Police officers responded to Dollar General (1015 Charles Street).

Upon arrival, officers learned the suspect entered the store and handed a note to the cashier, which demanded money and implied he was armed. The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt.

Detectives from the Rockford Police Department conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident and identified the suspect as 34-year-old Donald Thompson. As a result, the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized the below listed charges and a warrant was obtained. Thompson was taken into custody.

Thompson was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charges against Thompson are merely accusations. He is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court


Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Robs A Rockford Store, Arrested Short Time Afterwards




On Tuesday, June 19th, 2018, shortly after 10:30 a.m. patrol officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the Dollar General, 1015 Charles Street, in reference to a robbery. When they arrived, officers learned that a white male suspect, dressed in all dark clothing, entered the store and approached a cashier. The suspect implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of currency from the register before fleeing the scene on foot. No one was injured during the incident.

A description of the suspect was broadcast to other officers who were in the area. A short time later a Rockford Police Department traffic investigator located a subject, closely matching the description of the suspect, near the intersection of Benton Street and North Longwood Street. The suspect was stopped for questioning.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit conducted a follow-up investigation into the incident. The investigation was later reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, charges were authorized against the suspect, Eamonn Talkington, for the listed charges.
