Rockford Scanner™: Armed Robbery in Rockford, Victim possibly Injured




Sources are reporting a robbery in Rockford.

It happened this afternoon around 2:30 pm in the area of W State and Day ave.

Reports of suspects beat a victim near this location, then robbed the victim then fled the scene. Sources said that the suspect was a black male wearing a dark hoodie and fled in a dark colored vehicle.

Unknown on the victims condition.

RPD has yet to release any information on the incident, at the time of writing this.

Update: Three suspects  forced the victim to the ground and beat him, then shot the victim. 42-year-old  victim has life threatening injuries. Suspects fled in a Gold colored SUV.  Suspects also took the victim’s car, which is described as a Gold colored Sedan.

Another violent night in the city.

Sources reporting what appears to be a shooting scene near the area of Rockton and Auburn st overnight.

Also sources reporting what appeared to be another shooting scene in the 700 block of N Day

Also an overdose at the Walgreens on Charles st

Not to sound like a broken record, but unknown due to the encryption.

Rockford Scanner™: Suspects Shoot A House In Rockford, Police Investigating



On 9/22/17 at around 8:35 P.M. Rockford Police responded to the 1000 block of N. Day Ave in reference to an aggravated discharge of a firearm investigation.

Officers located one house struck by gunfire.  No one was struck and no injuries were reported from this incident.

This is an on going investigation.  Anyone with information is urged to call the Rockford Police.

 

 







Rockford Scanner™: Auto Accident in Rockford, Citizens Want A Stop Sign At The Intersection

This was a hit and run accident, unknown on suspect information due to the encryption.

Source said:
“Please help me get a stop sign on N Day Ave at the intersection on Arthur and N Day. This is another accident from this intersection.

We argued for a stop sign and the changed the Yield sign on Arthur to a stop sign.”

 








Rockford Scanner™: Possible Fire At A Local Spa, Several Emergency Personnel En Route



 

 

 

Around 7:20 pm tonight sources were reporting a possible fire at a local spa business. 

Reports of smoke seen and a fire alarm has been activated. 

It happened at Weiss Morris Dayspa at 6555 Lexus Drive in Rockford.

Rockford Scanner™: Rockford Police Investigating Another Armed Robbery



Robbery:
Shortly after 11 p.m., Rockford Police officers were called to the Dominos in the 2900 block of N. Main Street for a female driver who’d been beaten and robbed. The victim was making a delivery in the 500 block of N. Day Avenue. One suspect met the driver and led her to a different house where another male suspect opened the door and punched her in the face. The victim’s phone, cash, and pizzas were taken. She was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. One suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20 years old, wearing all dark clothing and a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up. The other suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, 5’6, approximately 20 years old, short afro, wearing all dark clothing.

Unconfirmed reports are saying the suspects may have hit the victim during the robbery.

Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Crash While Fleeing From A Robbery, In Rockford



 

Around 11 am this morning several officers were on scene of a home invasion/burglary that happened in Rockford. 

It happened in the area of N Day on Rockford’s West side. 

Sources said a witness called police when they saw people robbing a house. 

The suspects crashed while fleeing. Two suspects were caught.  Another two fled the scene and still are on the loose. No suspect information, due to the encryption. 

They had a police perimeter setup and police K-9 dogs trying to track the suspects.
