Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Rolls Over Into A Creek, Rescue In Process




Update:  We have been told the person was arrested.  It did appear the RPD put the person into handcuffs at the scene, before putting him into the ambulance.  Sources have said the person in the vehicle had stolen it, and it was a stolen vehicle. RPD has yet to confirm this.


Sources are reporting a vehicle rolled over into a creek. 

It happened around 11:20 pm tonight on E State just west of Fairview.

A vehicle has rolled over in the Kieth Creek. The victim is standing on the vehicle. Unknown on injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Avoid the area, or expect delays.  RPD is investigating.

Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Slides Off The Roadway And Into The Water

Sources are reporting an auto accident, a vehicle slid off the roadway and off into a nearby creek/river.

It happened at Riverside and Gustafson in Boone County.

A vehicle has slid off the roadway and into the water.

Unknown on the occupants status at the time of writing this.

Several emergency personnel are en route.

Rockford Scanner™: Accident With Extrication Needed, Near A Rockford School



 

UPDATE:   This is a fatal accident.  One person is confirmed dead.

The male driver of the red car, who was traveling east on Spring Creek, has died after crashing head-on into the maroon car (westbound) at approximately 1:15 this afternoon.


Around 1:20 pm today, sources were reporting a bad accident in Rockford. 

It happened in the area of the 3500 block of Spring Creek. 

There is an auto accident near this location. 

Injuries were being report, unknown on the severity of the injuries. 

Three ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.

It is in front of Eisenhower Middle School.

Extrication is being requested to cut at least one person out of the vehicle.

RPD is on scene of a serious, 3 car accident on Spring Creek Rd. in front of Eisenhower Middle School. Spring Creek will be shut down for several hours. The only way to access the school is from the east. Driftwood Lane is still open.








Rockford Scanner™: Emergency Personnel Responding To A Dead Body In A Creek

On Monday, June 25th, 2018, shortly after 4:30 p.m. patrol officers and detectives from the Rockford Police Department responded to the 1200 block of 7th Avenue in reference to a found body. When they arrived, officers located the body of an unknown male in the creek adjacent to that location. Members of the Rockford Fire Department and Winnebago County Coroner’s Office assisted with the removal of the body.

Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident. At this time no foul play is suspected. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Investigations Bureau (779-500-6551) or Crime Stoppers (815-963-7867).

No further details are available at this time.


The Winnebago County Coroners office has confirmed a body has been recovered near this location. Check back later for updates.

Around 4:50 pm today emergency personnel were dispatched for a dead body in a creek. 

It happened in the area of 8th st and 7th ave.

Sources reporting this might be the body of a missing man.  Not confirmed.   A woman on scene was being treated by medical personnel. Emergency personnel are using chainsaws to free the body from the debris.  Still developing.
