Rockford Scanner™: Police Tasered A Suspect While Fleeing & Fighting With The Officer




Police were working a scene near Howard, on Rockford west side.  Two suspects attempted to run from police according to witnesses.

An officer told the suspect to not run from him or he was going to use his tazer. The suspects failed to comply to the officers orders and the officer did what he told the suspect he was going to do if he ran. The officer tazed the suspect. The suspect was also fighting with the police officer.

Two people were reported to be in custody. 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Bank Robbery In Rockford, Suspect Gets Away




A Rockford bank was robbed Wednesday around 11:40 am. 

A suspect robbed the Chase Bank at N Main and W Riverside.
3699 N Main.

Suspect is described as a black male, approx. 6 foot, wearing a black knit hat, dark hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, a white surgical mask, white shoes and black gloves. Approx.  25 to 35 years old. Armed with a gun.

No injuries were reported.

Police are offering a $1K reward for information.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Scene On The West Side




 

Sources are reporting a scene on the West side. 

It happened around 9:30 near Woodlawn and Maple.

We have been told there was a chase near this location.  Reports of medical on scene.  We can not confirm anything, other than several emergency personnel are on scene. No other information.

 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Vehicle Crashes Into A building, Alleged Police Chase




Around 10:30 pm tonight, sources are reporting an accident. It is alleged the people in the vehicle were fleeing from police just prior to crashing into a building near 7th st and 23rd ave.  

At least two ambulances were on scene. It is unknown on the severity of the injuries.  No other information at this time. 








 

Rockford Scanner™: Standoff in Rockford




 


Rockford police were doing a standoff with a suspect on the East side.  It started around 5 pm near 13th ave and 12th st. 

Several officers were setup around a residence.  Some officers had their rifles out.  Around 6 pm the suspect came out of the residence and RPD took him into custody.  At the time of writing this, it is not yet known what the suspect was wanted for.   No other information at this time.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Shots Fired During A Police Chase in Janesville




On 07-04-2019 at 11:47 p.m. Officers from the Janesville Police Department responded to a disturbance at 507 S. Academy Street. The disturbance was based on a parking dispute. When officers arrived on scene the suspect causing the disturbance had left. As soon as the officers left they were called back as the suspect returned.

The officers located the suspect on Academy Street north of Wilson Street. The Officers made a determination to arrest a subject they identified as Antonio D. Sims. As soon as the officer told him he was under arrest Sims fled. During the foot pursuit, Sims pulled a handgun from his waist band and fired three rounds in the air. He fled the area but a gun was recovered near the scene as well shell casings.

At this point Sims is not in custody. This is an ongoing investigation and we will provide updates when we have more information. The officers that chased Sims were not injured, nor did they fire their weapons.

Rockford Scanner™: Multiple Police From Several Agencies Working A Scene




Sources are reporting a scene on the west side.

Several police officers from multiple police agencies have a perimeter set up in the area of Auburn and Springfield.

We have been told there was a chase with a white vehicle, that ended up near this location. Sounds like the vehicle may have crashed into a nearby cornfield.  The suspects then fled from the scene on foot and police have setup a perimeter.

If you live in the area, or are in the area. Stay inside, just in case they have a police k-9 assisting. No other information is available.

Another vehicle flees from police in Rockford.

It happened near Alpine and State.

Last seen southbound.

Suspect vehicle is a dark colored 2015 Subaru.  Plate # of BE50900

Comes back to an address in Rockford.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Motorcycle accident in Loves Park, possible police Chase





Viewer Discretion is advised

Shortly before 10 p.m. a motorcycle has crashed  on Harlem Road in Loves Park.

It appears the motorcyclist may have been traveling westbound on Harlem Road just west of Forest Hills when it crashed.

There is a yellow motorcyclist laying in the middle of the roadway and a victim laying on the ground approximately 20 feet away.

Emergency Personnel transported the victim from the scene to a nearby hospital. It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries at this time.

Sources have told us the motorcycle may have been fleeing from police just prior to the accident. And another motorcycle may have gotten away. Police have yet to confirm this.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Sources are reporting a vehicle that fled from police in Rockford. It happened around the Stop n Go on Huffman in Rockford. 

Suspects are in an older black jeep cherokee with rust. Temp plate of 443U062 Comes back to a 2004 grand marquee at an address on Trilling in Rockford. 2 white males with children in the back seat. Last seen southbound on N Winnebago. Police terminated the chase.
