Must be a night of carjackings in Rockford.

There was yet another carjacking in Rockford tonight.

This one happened in the 4500 block of Governors Drive

Suspect stole a Silver Chrysler 300 with a plate of V765844 or similar.

Suspects are 2 black males, 6 foot and both wearing white scarfs and blue jeans.

Sources are reporting another carjacking in Rockford. 

This one happened in the 1200 block of N Main st in Rockford. 

That is near N Main and Boilvin

The vehicle is a Red 2007 GMC Envoy with a plate # of Z674135 (or similar) 

Suspect was armed with a gun. If you see it, call the police.

Rockford Scanner™: Carjacking, Police Chase, Shots Fired in Rockford

Sources reported hearing multiple gunshots on the west side.

During the same time shots were fired, there was a carjacking at Green st and Johnston ave.

Shots were fired in the same general area of the carjacking.

Reports of people in two different vehicles shooting at each other.

Unknown if these incidents are related.

Police were chasing a vehicle on the west side a short time later, that ended near Winnebago and Garfield.

Numerous police officers were on scene.  RPD, ISP, WCSO. They had a large perimeter setup in the area.  Unknown what the suspects look like. At least one suspect was at large. They had a police K-9 assist in tracking the suspect, but was unsuccessful.

RPD did confirm a police chase and shots fired and the carjacking, but would not say if all these incidents were all related.

The vehicle ended up near the dead end of Garfield, just west of Winnebago in the eastbound lanes just before the stop sign.

Sources were reporting several officers out on foot searching the area of Liberty and Belden for shell casings, unknown if this is related to these incidents.

Rockford Scanner™: Suspect Hits Victim In Head, Then Steals The Victims Truck

This morning a man came out of his residence on N Main in Rockford.

It happened near 3514 N Main. 

While he exited his house a suspect hit the victim in the head. The victim needed medical attention. 

Then the suspect stole the victims truck. 

No suspect information, or vehicle information at this time. 

 

 








Rockford Scanner™: Suspects Beat Victim During A Carjacking in Rockford




 

 

AGGRAVATED VEHICULAR HIJACKING
Date: 06/05/2018 8:48 pm
Location: 300 HILTON AVE.

On Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at approximately 8:48 pm, Officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to 300 Hilton Ave., reference an Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking. A 28 year old male was driving a gray 2006 Dodge Charger with a 26 year old female in the 300 block of Hilton Ave. They were approached by a 30 year old black male and a 27 year old black female who were both armed with handguns. The 28 year old male was battered and the Dodge Charger was taken at gunpoint. The Dodge Charger was last seen headed southbound from the scene.

The male victim was treated at a local hospital. Nothing further at this time.

Around 10 pm tonight sources were reporting a carjacking in Rockford. 

A black male suspect around 18 years old, 5’11, thin build wearing dark clothing carjacked a white pontiac. 

Last seen northbound on Ridge in Rockford.
