Update from Roscoe Police
Roscoe Police just responded to a robbery at First National Bank located at 5360 Bridge Street. See attached photo. white male, five feet 8 inches tall, black rimmed glasses, wearing an olive colored cross over back pack. The subject drove away from the area unknown direction of travel in a Maroon 4-door sedan type vehicle. A weapon was not displayed but implied. Subjects identified as suspects are innocent until proven guilty

Sources are reporting the bank in the 5300 block of Bridge st in Roscoe has been robbed just after 9 am. Suspect was last seen on N Second st.

Still developing. 

Police have not released any information.

Sources are reporting a possible bank robbery in Rockford.

Sources were reporting emergency personnel at the Midland Bank at 1401 N Main in Rockford earlier today.

Sources are reporting a bank robbery.

It happened at the First National Bank near 1725 S State in Belvidere around 1 pm. 

Suspect fled in a Black SUV

Suspect is described as a dark skinned male, Thin build, 6’0, dark clothing.

Unconfirmed reports are saying there is a suspicious package inside the bank, and it was evacuated.  A perimeter was setup.  Rockford Bomb Squad is en route along with the Hazmat.

We sat on this story a little bit to see if RPD or the local news would post any information on this. Neither has, so we are going to post it.

Sources are reporting a man has robbed an employee at a Rockford bank.

It happened  at the US Bank at 1107 E State st.

Suspect is described as a black male wearing dark clothing and a brown ski mask. Armed with a gun.  The suspect then fled the bank on foot. He was seen running down Charles st.

Police are searching the area, but the suspect is still on the loose.

RPD is investigating an attempted bank robbery shortly before 4 pm at the US Bank in the 3200 block of 11th St.

No one hurt.

Suspect fled without obtaining any currency

Suspect is a male black, 30’s, 6’0, thin build, blond wig, gray jumpsuit, armed with a handgun. Last seen in a dark gray vehicle.

A suspect robbed the US Bank on 11th st.

No suspect information at this time.

Suspect is believed to be on foot in the area, police have a perimeter setup and a police K-9 assisting.

Car has been found. FBI Has it now, until investigation is done.


The suspect stole the vehicle they used in the bank robbery.

Shortly before 12:30 pm, Rockford Police responded to a hold up alarm at Northwest Bank (3106 N. Rockton). Upon arrival, learned it was a valid robbery. 2 suspects entered the bank and robbed it. No one was hurt. RPD detectives and FBI agents are investigating


Sources are reporting around 12:20 pm today, a bank was robbed in Rockford.

Details are minimal due to the encryption.

A Northwest Bank at 3106 N Rockton ave  was robbed

2 Black Males wearing hoodies.

Kim Knight said “they are around 18-20 years old, one with red hair”

No official suspect information due to the encryption

Rockford Scanner™: Man Robs A Local Bank Earlier Today, Police Arrest Him Short Time Later



 

 

 

On Tuesday 08/07/2018 at approximately 2:04 p.m. the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a hold-up alarm at Holcomb Bank 400 E. IL Rt 38 Creston, IL. Information received indicated a male subject wearing a black hat, Chicago Bears jersey with a bandage on his face obtained an undisclosed amount of United States currency and fled the location on foot.

During the course of the investigation, a Deputy recognized the suspect from previous contacts. William Wayne Clark II was arrested for Robbery a class 2 felony. Clark was transported and housed at the Ogle County Jail.

Clark will appear before an Ogle County Judge on Wednesday 08/08/2018.
