Rockford Scanner™: Woman Shot on Rockford’s West Side

Two females sustained non-life-threatening injuries during a shooting at Auburn Manor early this morning. Anyone with information on the incident should call RPD at 815-966-2900

A little after 1 am this morning I was working a scene near Preston ~ (Click Here) When I heard several gunshots to my North.

A short time later I was told there was a shooting victim at the Auburn Manor on Auburn st.  The victim was reported to be on the 1st floor of the building.

I was told there was 1 confirmed victim, possibly 2 victims.  While at the scene I saw emergency personnel tending to a female victim. She was reportedly shot in the leg.

I did not see a 2nd victim. I only saw the 1 victim. So I can only confirm the 1 victim at this time.

It is not yet known on the severity of the injuries.

Police have yet to release any suspect information, or any info. on the shooting.

I did see police searching the area to the North of Auburn Manor. So it is safe to assume the suspect may have fled to that neighborhood. Because police were searching that neighborhood. But not yet confirmed.

Check back later for updates.
