Just before 8 am this morning, emergency personnel were responding to an accident with injuries.

Initial reports are saying a pedestrian was hit by a semi tractor trailer in Machesney Park.

It happened in the back parking lot of a business in the 9800 block of N Alpine.

Injuries were being reported, unknown on the severity of the injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Several people are reported to be injured and multiple ambulances have been dispatched to the scene

Unconfirmed reports are saying one of the vehicles is on fire

Both scenes had injuries, unknown how severe the injuries were.

The first accident was at Alpine and Pepper.

The second accident was near Alpine and Broadway

Rockford Scanner™: Business Just Robbed in Rockford, Police Investigating



ARMED ROBBERY: On Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at approximately 4:00 a.m., Rockford Police officers were called to CVS (110 S. Alpine Road) for an armed robbery.

Officers learned a man, armed with a handgun, demanded money from the register. The suspect is described as a black male, about 5’8”, 160 pounds, wearing a dark blue hoodie, dark blue pants or jeans, a white bandana or t-shirt around his head, and black shoes with a white stripe down the sides and white soles. No one was hurt.

Around 4 am this morning, sources were reporting the Rockford Police were investigating a robbery to a Rockford business.

Sources are reporting a multiple vehicle accident with multiple injuries in Rockford.

It happened around 9:45 pm in the area of S Alpine and Carthage.

Reports of up to 4 vehicles involved.

At least 2 injuries were reported, and 2 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.  Still developing. Avoid the area or expect delays

Around 6:40 pm tonight the Rockford Fire Department were en route to battle a fire at a local gas station. 

It happened near 3730 N Alpine at the Fasmart, by Walmart. 

A vehicle is fully engulfed next to the gaspumps.

Rockford Scanner™: Police Investigating An Armed Robbery On The East Side



 

 

 

On 7/23/2018 at around 9:50 hours, Officers from the Rockford Police Department were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 4100 block of Florida Dr, in regards to an Armed Robbery.

Officers arrived and met with an adult male and an adult female who reported that they were approached by four suspects in a parking lot,while they were walking up to an apartment building doorway.

Two of the suspects were armed with handguns and demanded property from the victims. The suspects took a purse, wallet, and money from the victims and fled the area on foot.

The victims were not injured during this incident.

The suspects were described as four black males, 15-17 years of age, all of whom were wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact the Rockford Police Department.

Several sources have reported many accidents in the area today. 

#1 A motorcycle has crashed on Montague and Hoisington. At least one person was reporting injuries. Unknown on the severity of the injuries. 

#2 Multiple vehicle accident in the area of Perryville and Charles. Unknown on injuries. 

#3  Harlem and Alpine there was an accident with injuries.

Rockford Scanner™: Two Different Accident Scenes Causing Long Traffic Delays In The Area

Just after 10 AM several emergency personnel were responding to a motorcycle accident with injuries.
Initial reports are saying there’s a motorcycle accident in the area of Alpine and Broadway on Rockford’s east side.
At least one person is reporting injuries. At this time it is not yet known on the severity of the injuries. Please avoid this area or expect traffic delays.


Around 9:30 AM emergency personnel were on scene of another auto accident in Rockford. This one happened at North Main and West Riverside. A vehicle is reported to have hit a pole near this intersection. Construction is ongoing in the area. Traffic is reported to be at a complete standstill for at least 30 minutes according to several sources. Avoid this area or expect long traffic delays

Just before noon today several emergency personnel were responding to an accident scene in Rockford. 

It happened in the area of Alpine and Broadway. 

Injuries were being reported. Sounds like the injuries are non life threatening. 

Unknown if the accident is in the middle of the intersection, or in a certain direction lane of traffic. 

Please avoid the area or expect delays in this area.  

 

 

 



Rockford Scanner™: Pedestrian Hit By A Vehicle, Pedestrian Is Not Moving. Still Developing




On Saturday, June 16, 2018, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Rockford Police Department officers responded to the 2400 block of South Alpine Road for reports of a serious traffic crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a 47-year-old male Rockford resident was crossing in the midblock of S. Alpine Road when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver, who is a 16-year-old male Rockford resident, remained on scene. The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital where he was listed as critical condition.

The Rockford Police Department Traffic Accident Reconstruction team was deployed to the scene.

On June 20, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and died while in the hospital. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time

 


 

 

Unknown if it is related: Several sources have told us the Rockford Police were on scene doing an investigation near this accident scene, on Sunday.  If it is related, the RPD believes the injuries are life threatening and possibly fatal. We will bring you updates as they become available.


Around midnight several emergency personnel were responding to a serious accident on the East side. 

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near Alpine and Harrison. 

The pedestrian is injured and is not moving. Injuries are believed to be life threatening according to a source. 

Several emergency personnel are en route. Avoid this area.
