Rockford Scanner™: Truck Crashes Into A Tree in Rockford, Extrication Needed




Sources are reporting an accident that needs extrication. 

It happened around 12:45 am on School st, near Albert in Rockford.

A truck hit a tree near this location.
It appears that it may have been a head on collision with the tree.

Witnesses said they saw the truck driving recklessly just prior to the accident.

There was extrication needed, to pop the door open to get the victim out of the vehicle.

Sources said the man was possibly under the influence, and the injuries were non life threatening.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Rockford Scanner™: Several Possible Violent Crimes in Rockford Recently




 

In the past the local police have labeled the following violent crimes as “In Progress Person” Murders, Shootings, Stabbings, Robberies, Overdoses, Etc….

According to the recent call logs there have been several “In Progress Person” calls.

  • 200 block of Mechanic st
  • 200 block of Albert
  • 2200 block of Parmele
  • 5400 block of Falcon Crest
  • 500 block of Fisher
  • 3500 block of S Main
  • 2200 block of Maple ave
  • Clover and Montague
  • 2500 block of S Alpine

Police have yet to release any information on any of these incidents.








 

Rockford Scanner™: Woman Shot In The Head in Rockford




On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, shortly after 12:00 a.m., Rockford Police Patrol Officers responded to the area of Albert Avenue and School Street in reference to a shooting victim. Officers located a 33-year-old female victim inside a residence in the 2000 block of School Street suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Officers also located a group of individuals inside the home, including the resident, who the victim was visiting at the time of the incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Detectives from the Rockford Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit are conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident and looking into the possibility that the shooting was accidental.

Rockford Scanner™: Double Shooting Victims, Possible Fatal

UPDATE from the Winnebago County Coroner:  The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Trequan Stamper-Ashfor


Sources are reporting a serious shooting scene in Rockford. 

Reports of at least two shooting victims.

The victim was shot in the head and chest.

It happened near 311 Albert ave in Rockford.

No suspect information at this time.

UPDATE: Confirmed fatal. At least one of the victims has died. Reports are saying this is possibly a double fatal. We can only confirm the 1 fatal right now, but reports are saying this is possibly a double fatal. RPD has yet to release information.
