Rockford Scanner™: One Victim Shot On The West Side, Police Investigating




UPDATE: The male victim is approx. 30 years old. The suspect and victim allegedly got into a physical altercation. During the fight, the suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim in the stomach area. He was found laying on the ground in the parking lot. Police have yet to release suspect information.


On Thursday, March 14th, at around 3:40 AM, a Rockford man was the victim of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm when he was struck one time by gunfire, in the 4000 block of Auburn St.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to contact the Rockford Police Department, or Crime Stoppers at 815 963 STOP (7867).

Sources have told us the 2 suspects in custody are: 41 year old Kenneth Litteral and also 52 year old Marc Spence.  RPD has not confirmed this yet, and have still yet to release information on the 3rd suspect that is still on the loose. We can confirm these 2 are in custody in the Winnebago County Jail for Home Invasion


On Sunday February 17th, 2019 at 0117 hours Rockford Police Officers were dispatched to 1000 N. Main St. reference a Home Invasion.

During the investigation Officers learned three suspects had forced their way into the victim’s residence and battered the victim.

The victim suffered minor injuries. The suspects fled the residence on foot in an unknown direction. The suspects were known by the victim and Officers located two of the three suspects.

Charges of Home Invasion were authorized by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. The two apprehended suspects were lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.

The third suspect remains at large but was described as a white male, 40’s with medium build.

The names of the suspects are not being released at this time as this is an on-going investigation.

Sources told us 4 suspects severely beat 1 victim on Auburn st near Avon, Thursday night around 11 PM.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

The 4 suspects fled the scene and are still running around the streets of Rockford freely.  RPD has yet to release any suspect information at this time.

Police had part of Auburn street closed off for awhile, while they investigated.

Rockford Scanner™: Aggravated battery in Rockford, Possibly involving a police officer

Sources are reporting several emergency personnel in the area of 10th St. and 20th Ave. on Rockford’s East-side around 2 am.

Rockford police confirmed an aggravated battery at this location around 2 AM.

We been told this incident involves a police officer, but the police will not yet confirm this at this time.

It is not yet known if these two incidents are related but the Rockford police confirmed there was a traffic stop at the same location just prior to the aggravated battery.

All we can confirm is there is a scene near this location in at least one person was injured and needed medical treatment. And the Rockford Police Department confirm there was a traffic stop and an aggravated battery at the same location. Press enter no other details are available at this time

Update: At 5 am, the RPD is reporting a resisting and obstructing a peace officer at this location. Unknown if it is related.

Rockford Scanner™: Two People Shot In A Rockford Housing Complex

From the RPD:

On January 5th, 2019 at 2:12 AM Rockford Police Officers responded to 1400 Birch Ct. for a shooting.  Once on scene Officers located a 25 year old male and a 36 year old male suffering from non life threatening gun shot wounds.  Both male victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

During the investigation it was learned that a white Pontiac Grand Prix with tinted windows may be the suspect vehicle.

This is an on-going investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Rockford Police at 815-966-2900, or Rockford Area Crime Stoppers (815) 963-7867.


Around 2:10 am this morning, sources are reporting two people were shot in the Blackhawk Housing complex.

It happened in the 1400 block of Birch ct in Rockford.

Two shooting victims.

One of the victims was shot approx. 6 times.

One of the victims was shot in the head.

No suspect information at this time.

Around 12:30 am this morning, sources were reporting a man viciously beat a woman with a bat in Rockford. 

It happened near Brewington Oaks at 505 Seminary

A man viciously beat a woman with a baseball bat. The woman was injured and unconscious. The male suspect fled the scene.  No detailed suspect information, due to the encryption.

Serious Aggravated Battery Scene in Rockford 

Around 2:30 pm today several emergency personnel were responding to a serious beating scene.  A victim was hit in the head with an object and has stopped breathing. They were able to perform life saving measures on the victim to get them breathing again.

No suspect information, due to the encryption.

It happened in the 1000 block of S Church st in Rockford

The victim was transported to a local ER with life threatening injuries.

A suspect beat a victim with a crowbar. Sources are reporting the victim was severely beaten with the crowbar

It happened at an address on S Horace in Rockford.

RPD has yet to release information on this, but sources said the suspect is only described as a black male.

Rockford Scanner™: Victim Beaten During A Robbery, Suspects Flee



 

On Tuesday September 25th, 2018 at 8:10 pm Officers were dispatched to 3900 Louisiana Rd. reference a Strong Arm Robbery.

Officers met with the victim who had been battered as he exited his vehicle and stole items from the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The suspects were described as:

#1 Black male, 5′ 8″, heavy build.

#2 Black male, 6′ 0″, thin build.
