Rockford Scanner™: The community no longer “feels safe”  as criminals use the police encryption technology against them, to commit more violent crimes.

Rockford Scanner

Just because you are anti-encryption, Does not mean you are anti-police.

Watch this video.  It shows police DO know things, and refuse to tell the public. How is this effectively combating crime?

NOTE:  All kinds of people do talk to us and are brutally honest.  And Yes, We do pass on tips to the local police, when we do get them.  People do send us information and tips all the time. And are brutally honest. That is how we get our information.

Do you feel safer since the police encrypted their radios?

Since encrypting 2 officers have been seriously hurt, one was killed in the line of duty.  Before the encryption no officers were seriously injured for a very long time. The last known serious injury was to Detective Rice back in Aug. 3, 2001.

Criminals have openly talked about how they use the encryption to their advantage.

They only have to worry about hiding from the police, and no longer have to worry about a citizen spotting them and turning them in.

Criminals brag about how they literally just walk away from scenes.

One person  said “We no longer have to worry about 150,000 eyes and ears to turn us in, now we only have to worry about maybe 20 police officers and they are easy to spot.  And the police no longer talks to the public with information, so we can commit a lot of crimes and literally walk away scott free. ”

Many criminals echo this very same thing

Does this make you feel safe?

With the encryption off, the criminals had to worry about the people nearby recognizing them and turning them in. Now criminals are bragging how easy it is to literally walk away after committing violent crimes.

Because they only have to now worry about 30 very visible police officers, instead of the whole community & the police.

30 vs 150,030  eyes and ears.
Which is more effective on
combating crime?

People used to know who to look out for. People used to turn their family members and friends in.  Now the community lacks the trust with the lack of transparency (police promised would happen after encrypting, and failed to do so) and criminals using the encryption to their advantage, has now made the the community feeling very unsafe.

The community no longer “feels safe”  as criminals use the police encryption technology against them to commit more violent crimes.

On our end:  Police promised transparency since encrypting. And yet all these crimes happen and police say “no comment”  and they have labeled violent crimes in their call logs as “medical assists, service to other agency, etc….”

They call this “Cooking the books”

We have had citizens contact us out of frustration, saying they were hanging out with murderers and did not know it, because they were clueless. And are mad at the police, because if they would have known they would have turned them in.

I can not tell you how many times people have contacted us and said they no longer trust the police, because the encryption alone.  They don’t feel safe no more not knowing what is going on their neighborhoods. They no longer have no idea who to look for.

They say “crime is down”
How do we really know this?  We have to take the words of the very same people that encrypted and hide things from the public now. Do you trust those “stats”  they show that supposed to appear crime is going down?

Watch that video in the top of this article.  It shows police DO know things, and refuse to tell the public. How is this effectively combating crime?

Rockford Police on occasion do post blotters.  The Winnebago County Sheriff, once in a blue moon (literally) do they release crime releases.

I can not tell you how many violent crime scenes I have been to since police encrypted (too many to count) , and not a peep from police on information or suspect info. about the scene.  No blotters, no press releases, nothing…..

Police used to be un-encrypted and also encrypted.  Yes, they were encrypted before going full encryption. They would also use their cell phones, MDT’s, or the tactical channels that were encrypted. To provide sensitive information from the public.

Police have said “If we didn’t want you to hear it, we wouldn’t say it over the air”  and well that is exactly what they did, full encryption.

How do we know crime is really down?  How do we know our leaders are not once again lying to us?  How do we know the man standing next to you did not murder someone an hour ago?  Answer: You don’t know!

That brings us back to the topic: Do you feel safer with police encryption?

Wise man once said:
“If you are doing nothing wrong, then there is no reason to hide”

Watch this video.  It shows police DO know things, and refuse to tell the public. How is this effectively combating crime?

Rockford Scanner™: TRIBUTE TABLE: This Saturday, emergency responders from all over the area attended the Blue Line Ball

Rockford Scanner

TRIBUTE TABLE: This Saturday, emergency responders from all over the area attended the Blue Line Ball. We remembered those missing from our midst who made the ultimate sacrifice.

“This table that is set for one is small. It symbolizes the frailty of one officer against his oppressors. The tablecloth is black. It symbolizes the mourning of the families and loved ones for the officer who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The blue ribbon on the center of the table represents the strong bond of all law enforcement officers who still continue to respond to calls for service even when one of their own has fallen. It also represents the thin blue line of law enforcement officers who stand between good and evil. The single rose, illuminated in blue and displayed in a vase, reminds us of the families and loved ones of our officers who are still mourning.

White gloves are placed on the table symbolizing the purity of the officer’s intentions to respond to their communities call for service. The candle is lit and its light symbolizes the upward reach of their unconquerable spirit. The plate on the table holds a slice of lemon and a pinch of salt. The lemon serves to remind us of the fallen officer’s bitter fate, and the salt is symbolic of the many tears shed by mourners.

The glass is inverted – they cannot share in a toast. The chair is empty as they are no longer physically with us. For those of you who knew them, knew of them, served with them, called them your brother or sister, or relied upon them for their might and aid, remember their spirits will live on forever.”
