Around 3 am this morning a broadcast came over the un-encrypted airwaves of the Illinois State police in reference to an armed robbery in Rockford.
It happened on Ridge ave in Rockford around 2 am.
The suspects fled in a Dark Blue Chevy Lumina 2 door.
#1 Male black around 6’2, wearing a black jacket or hooded sweatshirt. Armed with a gun.
#2 Male black, 5’6 wearing a White jumpsuit and armed with a gun

Around 12:20 am this morning a broadcast came over the scanner in reference to an armed robbery to a business in the 2200 block of Charles st. The suspect fled in a White 2000 Olds Alero. The suspect is described as a White male, 5’10, 160 lbs, white bandanna, blue hooded jacket, dark pants. Officers are investigating.
At Midnight on 11-4-16 officers responded to Slots Of Fun, located at 2233 Charles St, in reference to an armed robbery to the business. Officers met with an employee and a patron who were the only two occupants of the business at the time of the incident.
The victims stated a subject entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He took money from both victims as well as an undetermined amount of money from the business. The suspect also took the employee’s car keys, then fled in the victim’s vehicle, south bound on 18th St.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, thin to medium build, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and a bandanna over his face. No one was injured during the incident.
On October 14th, 2016 at about 7pm, members of the Rockford Specialized Community Oriented Police Enforcement team, received information that a subject identified as 35 year old Rockford resident, Jesse Herbig, was at a residence in the
1900 block of South Fourth Street. Officers learned that Herbig was wanted on several warrants. Officers went to the residence and located Herbig and took him into custody. Herbig was found to be in possession of a quantity of narcotics. Herbig was charged with the following offenses:
Violation of the controlled Substances Act-Possession with Intent to Deliver
Aggravated Fleeing to Elude Warrant Armed Habitual Criminal Warrant Failure to Appear warrant
He was lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. This is an on-going investigation. No further information is available at this time.
The charges against Herbig are merely accusations. Herbig should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
