on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at approximately 5:15 AM the Rockford Police Department were called to the 1400 block of Garden Court in reference to a stabbing.
Upon their arrival officers learned a 30-year-old female and a 31-year-old male who had a domestic relationship were inside a residence when they got into an argument. The female stabbed the male in both his arms, And she sustained a laceration to her hand. Both were transported to a local emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries.
The female later identified as 30-year-old the Laprica Wilder, Was taken into custody.The Winnebago County states Attorney’s office reviewed the case and authorize the following charges: aggravated battery with a knife, aggravated domestic battery. She was lodged in the Winnebago County jail. The charges against her are merely accusations she is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
Sources are reporting a pregnant female was stabbed in the stomach in Rockford. It happened around 9:30 pm in the 1300 block of Sherman.
Reports of a fight that happened around 8 pm. And then around 9:30 pm emergency personnel were called back out there for a home invasion with at least 1 gunshot with a possible shooting victim, and a pregnant female was reported to have been stabbed in her stomach.
No suspect information at this time.

Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announces that a Rockford woman has been indicted by a Grand Jury for a stabbing last month in Rockford.
On April 6th, 2019, Rockford Police Officers were called to the 1400 Block of Chestnut Street for a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, Officers learned that a female had been stabbed, and transported to a Rockford hospital. The victim was subsequently treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Rockford Police Detectives conducted a follow up investigation that was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, charges were authorized against the defendant, Lsean R. Gilmore (D.O.B. 6/14/1976). Gilmore was recently indicted by a Winnebago County Grand Jury on Aggravated Battery charges.
Aggravated Battery is a Class 3 Felony that is punishable by a sentence of 2-5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by two years of Mandatory Supervised Release.
Gilmore is scheduled to be arraigned at 9:00am on May 16th, 2019, in front of the Honorable Judge Randy Wilt in Courtroom B of the Winnebago County Criminal Justice Center.
The charges are merely allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
