Aggravated battery with a knife

on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at approximately 5:15 AM the Rockford Police Department were called to the 1400 block of Garden Court in reference to a stabbing.

Upon their arrival officers learned a 30-year-old female and a 31-year-old male who had a domestic relationship were inside a residence when they got into an argument. The female stabbed the male in both his arms, And she sustained a laceration to her hand. Both were transported to a local emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries.

The female later identified as 30-year-old the Laprica Wilder, Was taken into custody.The Winnebago County states Attorney’s office reviewed the case and authorize the following charges: aggravated battery with a knife, aggravated domestic battery. She was lodged in the Winnebago County jail. The charges against her are merely accusations she is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

It happened around 2:45 am in the 600 block of Score st. That is located in the Orton Keyes Housing.

Reports of at least one person that has been stabbed near this location.

Rockford Police are investigating 2 violent crimes that happened on Saturday.

  • One person was shot in the 1800 block of S Main.
  • And a stabbing victim at Mercy Hospital on N Rockton ave.

Unknown on the victims conditions and no suspect information.

No other information at this time.

  • Armed robbery in the 3900 block of Eagle Drive

Rockford Scanner™: Possible Multiple Stabbing Victims in Rockford, Police Investigating

Sources are reporting a stabbing victim in Rockford.

It happened overnight in the 4800 block of Hampshire Close.

Reports of 2 stabbing victims near this location.

We been told a victim possibly has life threatening injuries.

As you know the local police are encrypted and have yet to release information on this incident at the time of writing this.

Sources are reporting numerous emergency personnel went running into a house on S Henrietta.

Officials said it was a battery call.

Sources are saying it was a stabbing.

Rockford Scanner™: Home Invasion With Possible Shooting Victim, Pregnant Female Stabbed In Her Stomach

Sources are reporting a pregnant female was stabbed in the stomach in Rockford.  It happened around 9:30 pm in the 1300 block of Sherman.

Reports of a fight that happened around 8 pm. And then around 9:30 pm emergency personnel were called back out there for a home invasion with at least 1 gunshot with a possible shooting victim, and a pregnant female was reported to have been stabbed in her stomach.

No suspect information at this time.

Approx. 25 officers were reported on scene from multiple jurisdictions.

Rockford Scanner™: Victim Stabbed On The East Side, Police Investigating


RPD said this was a home invasion and the victim was stabbed during the home invasion, but did not release any other information on it.

Sources are reporting a scene in the 1000 block of Benton around 1 am.

Sources said their neighbor was stabbed in the hand with a butcher knife  during a fight.

Injuries are believed to be non life threatening.

No suspect information at this time.

Rockford Scanner™: Teen Stabbed in Rockford, RPD Investigating

Sources are reporting a teen has been stabbed in Rockford.

Reports of a teen that was stabbed around midnight in the 1400 block of Green st in Rockford. Unknown on the severity of the injuries.

The suspect is a 14 year old black female, wearing all white.
Last seen fleeing the scene on foot.


Rockford Scanner™: Rockford woman has been indicted by a Grand Jury for a stabbing in Rockford


State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross

Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announces that a Rockford woman has been indicted by a Grand Jury for a stabbing last month in Rockford.

On April 6th, 2019, Rockford Police Officers were called to the 1400 Block of Chestnut Street for a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, Officers learned that a female had been stabbed, and transported to a Rockford hospital. The victim was subsequently treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Rockford Police Detectives conducted a follow up investigation that was reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office. As a result, charges were authorized against the defendant, Lsean R. Gilmore (D.O.B. 6/14/1976). Gilmore was recently indicted by a Winnebago County Grand Jury on Aggravated Battery charges.

Aggravated Battery is a Class 3 Felony that is punishable by a sentence of 2-5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by two years of Mandatory Supervised Release.

Gilmore is scheduled to be arraigned at 9:00am on May 16th, 2019, in front of the Honorable Judge Randy Wilt in Courtroom B of the Winnebago County Criminal Justice Center.


The charges are merely allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
